"Part of Mother's Body is inside the Undead Kingdom. Dracula should have told you that already."
Eve pointed with her pen to the end of the second route on the map. "Mother's Body is right here."
"So it really is in there."
Fang Cheng was surprised. He'd thought Dracula was lying to him.
"Then why didn't he retrieve Mother's Body himself?"
"Because it's dangerous."
Eve explained, "The Queen went to investigate too. The Evil God Consciousness Fragment is there, and Dracula isn't confident he can deal with it."
Fang Cheng's expression tightened. The Evil God Consciousness Fragment would be difficult to handle. At the slightest misstep, that thing could force open a door and let the Evil God's true form descend.
He couldn't help asking, "Will the scattered regions of the Undead Kingdom eventually merge into one?"
Eve thought for a moment. "Probably not."
Fang Cheng let out a breath of relief. "That's good."
When they had faced the Lord of Ten Thousand Monsters, Hokkaido had eventually reassembled into one piece. Only then could the Evil God Consciousness Fragments gather all the corrupted monsters and sacrifice them to open the gate.
If the Undead Kingdom wouldn't merge into one, the Evil God Consciousness Fragment wouldn't be able to find enough monsters to sacrifice.
"Did you draw this second route because you want me to retrieve Mother's Body?"
"The Queen does hope you'll retrieve Mother's Body, but I didn't draw this second route on purpose."
Eve smiled faintly. "If I'm not mistaken, this second route is the one the guests Dracula invited will take. If they don't turn on each other and instead join forces, they'll eventually face the Evil God Consciousness Fragment."
Fang Cheng immediately understood. Dracula must have intended to use those people as cannon fodder against the Evil
