Taking on a Disciple

Goku slowly flew over. Gohan and Krillin followed close behind. Goku smiled and said, "Hey, you. Do you know us? Why did you help us defeat Frieza?"

Yun Feng smiled too. "Mr. Goku, please don't doubt me. I'm your friend. Have you ever heard of Zeno?"

Goku was taken aback. "Zeno? I've never heard of him. I trained under King Kai."

Yun Feng couldn't be bothered to explain it all to Goku. "Goku, all you need to know is that Zeno is a god far, far above King Kai. And I'm Zeno's disciple."

With a completely straight face, Yun Feng spun his lie. "Zeno sent me to deal with Frieza. Also, Goku, you're a pure-blooded Saiyan, a warrior race. I want to take you on as my disciple, because I'm a Saiyan too."

Goku's mouth fell open in astonishment. "You're a Saiyan too?"

Yun Feng said, "I defeated Frieza just now by transforming into a Super Saiyan. Would you like to become one too?"

Desperate to grow stronger, Goku immediately dropped to his knees. "Master, please accept your disciple Goku's bow!"

Yun Feng beamed at him. "Good. From now on, you're my disciple, Yun Feng's. I'll look after you in this world."

Yun Feng turned to Krillin and Gohan. "Go use the Dragon Balls to bring back everyone Frieza killed. Return to Earth and train hard. Frieza will come to Earth for revenge."

Goku nearly fell over in shock. "But Master killed Frieza, didn't he?"

"Goku, Frieza comes from the powerful Frieza Race. He's incredibly resilient and can survive in space. He definitely didn't die just now. He'll be back."

"Come train with me, Goku. We'll return to Earth in a year."

Goku nodded, then nodded to Gohan and Krillin. "Gohan, you two need to train hard when you get back. Don't slack off, or what happened on Planet Namek could happen again on Earth. Tell everyone I'll be back in a year to fight alongside them."

Gohan and Krillin slowly flew away, carrying Piccolo, to revive those Frieza had killed.

"Goku, let's go too. We'll head to Frieza's spaceship. The Ginyu Force's spaceship is parked beside it."

Yun Feng knew it was heading to Yardrat Planet. He planned to teach Goku how to become a Super Saiyan there.

Yun Feng took Goku and quickly returned to Frieza's spaceship. They climbed inside and pressed the launch button. The two round, ball-like ships took off.

During the trip to Yardrat Planet, Yun Feng also worked out his own training plan. First, he'd quickly train until he reached Super Saiyan 2, giving himself the ability to protect himself.

In space

Frieza had been reduced to countless chunks of flesh, but they continued to writhe. His vitality was terrifying. Suddenly, a spaceship resembling Frieza's appeared and sucked him inside.

It was the spaceship of the Frieza Race's leader—Frieza's father. The scientists aboard had already begun working on a plan to revive Frieza. Unaware of this, Goku and Yun Feng were flying through space.

With a boom, Goku and Yun Feng's spaceship landed. The two climbed out, and Yun Feng gestured for Goku to follow him.

Yun Feng led Goku to a cave with a large open area outside. "Goku, I'm going to teach you the secret of becoming a Super Saiyan."

As he spoke, Yun Feng transformed into a Super Saiyan 1. His hair turned golden, and golden flames rose around him.

Goku stared at his master, now transformed into a Super Saiyan. "Goku, first, remember this energy. Then we'll take it slowly."

"The secret to transforming into a Super Saiyan is anger. Imagine Frieza killing someone you love most. When you're on the verge of breaking down, you'll be able to transform."

Goku tried several times, but he only managed to expand his energy. He couldn't transform into a Super Saiyan.

"Goku, don't rush. Remember what I just told you, and remember the energy I had when I became a Super Saiyan. Take it slowly. Once you succeed, learn an incredible technique on this planet called Instant Transmission. That's your assignment from your master."

"Once you've done what I told you, return straight to Earth. I'll be waiting for you there. If you haven't completed your assignment, don't come back."

Goku nodded respectfully, and Yun Feng left in his spaceship.

"System, where in space can I find something to increase my strength?" The system searched, then replied, "There's a plant called the Blood Spirit Fruit on Via Planet, a world in the far north. It can increase your battle power."

The spaceship immediately turned around and headed for Via Planet. Meanwhile, aboard a huge spaceship, a Namekian named Slug asked one of his subordinates, "Is the Blood Spirit Fruit almost ripe?"

The subordinate answered respectfully, "My lord, it's nearly time for it to ripen."

"Good. Set course for Via Planet."

When Yun Feng reached Via Planet, he discovered that its climate was terrible. It seemed to be windy all year round. It was amazing that a divine fruit could grow in such harsh conditions. Nature truly was wondrous.

As he searched for the Blood Spirit Fruit, Yun Feng sensed many energy signatures nearby, including several that were quite powerful.

He immediately used Instant Transmission and appeared there. It seemed they were preparing some kind of ritual. Ten people, men and women, were bound to an altar. Yun Feng couldn't understand a word they were saying.

After a while, the ten people were taken to the edge of a mountain. They forced one person's head down, then brought a knife down. Blood flowed onto the ground, and Yun Feng saw five crimson fruits growing beside the mountain. They were using people to ripen the fruit.

Shocked speechless, Yun Feng could only watch silently from the sidelines. Sure enough, the Blood Spirit Fruits slowly absorbed the blood and seemed to grow a little.

It looked like the Blood Spirit Fruits would ripen in ten days. Yun Feng spent the next few days watching from hiding. Every day, they killed ten people to feed the fruits.

On the ninth day, something unexpected happened. A massive spaceship landed there. Its doors opened, and a Namekian stepped out with a group of subordinates.

The Via Star People were certainly not happy to see this alien. The strongest people on the planet attacked the group, but their leader didn't even need to lift a finger. His subordinates had already beaten the Via Star People to the ground.

Just as Yun Feng was about to step in, a powerful energy signature came flying from the distance. He sensed it and realized it belonged to a Via Star Person—but this person's battle power was over a million, on par with Frieza in his first transformation.

Sure enough, Slug's subordinates were wiped out in no time.

Slug said, "You're strong. How about becoming my right-hand man? Together, we'll conquer the world."

The Via Star Person spoke furiously in the universal language. "Alien, I don't care why you came here. I suggest you leave at once."

Seeing there was no talking his way out of it, Slug attacked. A terrifying aura burst from his body, and the ground began to crack. As expected of a Super Namekian—his energy surpassed even Piccolo's.

With one punch, he sent the Via Star Person flying. Slug was so fast that the Via Star Person couldn't dodge. Then Slug stretched out his arm, enlarged his body, and grabbed the Via Star Person, slowly crushing him in his hand.

The Via Star Person cried out in pain, but Slug only smiled. He really was a devil.
