Videl, the Little Girlfriend

Videl opened her mouth, but fear nearly kept her from making a sound. The difference in their power was simply too great.

Even without transforming, Gohan with Ultra Instinct activated was so powerful that an ordinary person who got too close would be paralyzed on the spot!

If she stayed near him much longer, she feared her whole body would go limp. Videl already felt terribly uncomfortable.

Fortunately, after just a few seconds, Gohan reined in his Ultra Instinct and returned to his harmless-looking self.

He glanced at her, his eyes full of concern.

"Are you all right?"

Only then did Videl come to her senses. Seeing her injured leg, she realized Gohan was worried about her because she was hurt.

While she was still stunned, Gohan had already scooped her up.

He shot into the sky, and only then did she realize that Gohan had flown up in an instant.

Her mouth fell open. She finally understood that Gohan was the City Superhero!

He was even more powerful than she had imagined!

She was certain of it, but didn't dare ask him anything else. Looking at Gohan's serious expression, she felt a sweet warmth in her heart.

After all, Gohan was showing concern for her. She just didn't understand where he was taking her.

She couldn't help speaking softly. Gone was her earlier aggressive air; she asked cautiously, "Gohan, where are you taking me?"

Gohan checked Videl's injured leg. The injury wasn't serious, but it would definitely leave a scar.

He remembered something that could help heal her. He would need to stock up on more later, too, so he was certainly going to get some now.

"I'm going to get a Senzu Bean to heal your injury!"

Videl looked curious, unsure what Gohan meant. "A Senzu Bean?"

Gohan nodded and calmly explained, "Korin, who lives at Korin Tower beneath Kami's Lookout, has them."

"They're incredible. Just one can completely heal any injury, and even half a bean can restore your energy!"

Videl had never heard of anything so miraculous, but Gohan was already carrying her through the air.

She suddenly realized that there were many things in this world she didn't know about—not even her father knew everything!

Holding on to Gohan's arm, she exclaimed, "My dad says flying is just a magic trick. Now I know flying isn't magic."

"Gohan, I want to learn how to fly. You have to teach me!"

She pouted at him. It was obvious Videl had decided to stick to him.

Gohan smiled faintly, not minding at all. "Sure. Learning the Flight Technique is pretty easy, but first I'll have to teach you to sense ki."

"I'll start by teaching you what ki is."

Videl nodded, her face lighting up. She cared a lot about learning new skills.

Especially after feeling Gohan's speed—he was far faster than an airplane!

The moment he took off, he shot straight up into the clouds. She cried out in surprise and clung tightly to Gohan without letting go.

All she could notice was how fast Gohan was moving. Before long, they reached Korin Tower. She hadn't expected a tower to stand in the sky.

She was especially curious!

As soon as Gohan landed, Korin, the cat sage who lived there, raised his staff and greeted him.

"Hey, Gohan, what brings you here? You actually have time to come visit me. By the way, did Goku go to Hell?"

"I haven't seen him lately!"

Gohan landed and set Videl down. She noticed Korin could talk.

Her mouth dropped open in surprise. "This cat can talk! Wow, he's so cute!"

She reached out and stroked Korin's fluffy fur, making him jump with rage.

"I'm not a cat! Hey, stop it, you little—!"

"Gohan, you brought your girlfriend here? She has no manners!"

Korin recovered and glared at Videl. She finally stopped, sticking out her tongue. She really did think the cat sage was interesting.

Gohan couldn't help interrupting. "Korin, how many Senzu Beans do you have left? I came here to get some!"

He couldn't let people eat them all!

Korin had already noticed Videl's injury. He took out the Senzu Beans he had prepared in a nearby jar.

Without a second thought, he tossed them to Gohan.

"Perfect timing. I've got two right now. Your girlfriend's hurt, but the injury's minor. Half a bean is enough!"

"You can keep the other one and a half!"

Senzu Beans were incredibly rare. Otherwise, he could have gotten a whole pile and eaten them like candy.

Then, forget Majin Buu—even a God of Destruction could be beaten up endlessly at full power!

After getting the two Senzu Beans, Gohan took one and broke it in half, then personally fed a half to Videl.

Videl immediately felt the Senzu Bean go down, and the injury to her leg healed at once. She had needed someone to support her before, but now she could walk and jump around.

She found it absolutely miraculous, and her face lit up with excitement.

"Wow, so this is a Senzu Bean! My injury healed instantly, and I was completely worn out before, but now I feel full of energy!"

"Senzu Beans are amazing! Thank you so much, Gohan!"

Videl bounced around, fully recovered. She hadn't imagined the world could hold something so incredible.

If she told her dad about it, he probably wouldn't believe her either.

Seeing that Videl had recovered, Gohan put away the remaining one and a half Senzu Beans for emergencies.

After stowing them, he prepared to leave.

"All right, I'll take you home!"

Videl nodded without refusing, happily wrapping her arms around him.

This girl was rubbing up against him, and she wasn't exactly being subtle. Gohan shot Videl a look as she smiled sweetly at him.

He wondered whether she was doing it on purpose!

He shook his head and resigned himself to taking her home.

On the way, Videl arranged to come find him and learn the Flight Technique. Even if she hadn't asked, she seemed ready to go straight to his house.

She was determined to stick to him.

Gohan didn't refuse. He carried her through the air, and in about ten minutes, they flew from Korin Tower to the mansion where Satan lived.

As they landed, one of Mr. Satan's servants saw them.

When the servant noticed Videl being carried down from the sky, his expression changed. He cried out and ran inside.

"Mr. Satan! Mr. Satan! The young lady—the young lady was brought back from the sky!"

"The young lady was carried back by a flying magician!"

The servant hurried off to notify Mr. Satan, while Gohan really didn't want to linger and was about to leave.

Videl gently caught his arm. Smiling, she leaned in as he was about to go.

She kissed him on the cheek, then said meaningfully, "Gohan, this is a gift for our first date."

"It's my first kiss!"

She blinked and smiled at him. Gohan touched his cheek, wanting to tell the girl—

That wasn't how a first kiss was supposed to be!

But Mr. Satan was already coming over. Sensing his presence, Gohan's body blurred, and he became a streak of light. The next second,

He vanished from the spot, leaving Videl staring up into the sky, too stunned to react.

She only came to her senses when Mr. Satan rushed over to her.

"Videl! Videl, are you all right? How are you feeling? I heard you were injured in the city. Your—your injury, is it healed?"

"Who brought you back? Someone who can fly brought you home? What happened?"

Mr. Satan was deeply concerned about his daughter. Videl could only answer helplessly,

"I'm fine, Dad. I'm going back to rest. Oh, and have a helicopter ready for me tomorrow. I'm going to visit a classmate!"

As he watched his daughter leave, Mr. Satan looked dejected. He raised his head and scanned the sky, but he still had no idea

Who had brought his daughter home, or who she wanted to visit by helicopter.

No matter how he thought about it, he couldn't figure it out!

Had his daughter really met someone who could fly?

"Impossible! Those magicians who do tricks can't fool my daughter!"

Mr. Satan refused to believe it. He still needed to find out whether the classmate his daughter knew was a boy or a girl.

If it was a boy, he'd have to keep a close eye on him. His precious daughter couldn't be allowed to get fooled!

Early the next morning.

Chi-Chi excitedly rushed into his room and told him something, waking Gohan right up.

"Gohan, Gohan! There's a rich girl outside—she came to see you in a helicopter!"

"Wow, Mom's so happy you've found such a pretty girlfriend!"

Chi-Chi was certainly materialistic. If Videl hadn't arrived in a helicopter, she probably would've chased her away.

But now that she knew Videl was rich, she immediately woke Gohan up.

Gohan hadn't expected Videl to come so early. He still wanted to train, and he hadn't used his Shadow Clone draw yet.

He yawned and unhurriedly walked out of his room.

Videl, with her hair tied into two ponytails, saw him at once and happily came over.

"Gohan, don't forget what you promised me yesterday. I asked Dad for a helicopter first thing this morning so I could come see you."

"Oh, and do you like what I'm wearing today?"

She spun around to show off her little dress, which brought out her cute, charming figure.

Gohan looked her over appreciatively, then answered unhurriedly, "Looks good, but wait a bit. I haven't had breakfast yet."

Videl smiled and took out a lunch box. "I brought some for you. I asked our family's chef to make it."

"I didn't know what you liked, so I brought a bit of everything!"

This girl was so thoughtful. She had a good temper and a nice personality, too!

Acting like an eager little girlfriend, she made it hard for Gohan to refuse!

Under Videl's "enthusiastic gaze," he ate breakfast. Then he planned to take her to train in the Flight Technique.

Goten had wanted to come along, but Chi-Chi stopped him, unwilling to let him tag along as a third wheel. She forced him to stay home!
