Sui Xiong swung his palm, knocking the clump of sticky sludge before him back. Without pausing, he hurriedly lashed out behind him, swatting another equally sticky mass of sludge aside.
Fighting Chaos was, on the whole, utterly disgusting. Not only did the thing look like rotten mud, its behavior was no different from rotten mud either. It seemed to have long forgotten how to fight; it merely oozed slowly forward, trying to wrap Sui Xiong in its body and then digest and absorb him.
Like a slime that ranked among the very lowest tier even of monsters.
But it might well have been the strongest and most dangerous slime in the world. At the very least, Sui Xiong had never imagined that a slime could take one of his full-force blows without even trembling, only being knocked back a little.
If this thing were in a game, it would probably be one of those hidden bosses with who-knew-how-many nines in its health bar—the kind you would never encounter even after defeating the final demon king unless you deliberately went looking for it.
It was absurdly strong, strong beyond all reason.
Sui Xiong grumbled to himself, but his movements did not pause for even an instant. He struck out in every direction, driving back Chaos's attacks again and again.
Even so, he was already on the verge of being surrounded.
It was not as though the other powerful divine powers had not considered coming to support him. But after rushing forward, they only needed to be slapped once by a lump of sludge split off from Chaos before Chaos's power corroded them into a dizzy, disoriented state. Had their comrades not dragged them back and had Chaos Dragon not treated them in time, they likely would not have lasted more than
