The Shimada Clan, a vast criminal empire spanning Japan, once wielded enormous influence across the entire world.

After the Omnic Crisis ended, Overwatch began devoting itself to world peace and stability. As a result, the Shimada Clan, then at the height of its power, caught Overwatch's attention.

Overwatch wanted to dismantle the entire Shimada Empire. They destroyed many Shimada Clan branches around the world, dealing the clan a severe blow.

But not long afterward, Overwatch disbanded for unknown reasons. Commander Morrison and Blackwatch commander Reyes also vanished without a trace, giving the Shimada Empire a chance to rise again.

"I heard Overwatch has returned," one elder said.

They all knew that when Talon's Reaper and Widowmaker had tried to steal Doomfist's gauntlet, Overwatch's Tracer and Winston had appeared to stop them.

Overwatch had been disbanded for six or seven years. Especially after the Petras Act was signed, they had vanished completely, and no one knew where they had gone. But now Overwatch had returned, and that was a massive threat to the Shimada Clan.

"I know," Shimada Eiichiro said. "But Overwatch is no longer a legitimate organization. They're merely a group of mercenaries. Besides, the state of the world is different now. Wars and conflicts are constant. If the Shimada Clan wants to rise again, we need powerful allies!"

"So that's why you went abroad this time? To seek allies?" another elder asked doubtfully.

"That's right." Shimada Eiichiro nodded and continued, "I went to Ilios and met Maximilien, one of Talon's higher-ups. He's very interested in our weapons. Perhaps we can reach a partnership."
