Just as Rhodey spoke, the steel helmet sealed shut, and cold white light bloomed from its eyes.
Unlike Iron Man's classic red-and-gold color scheme, the steel-and-silver Mark 2 looked utterly ruthless. The guests were startled and quickly scattered.
"Hey, Rhodey, did you come to wish me a happy birthday?" Tony asked drunkenly, wineglass in hand.
Rhodey walked over and said sternly, "You don't deserve to wear that suit. Take it off, now!"
Tony ignored him. Instead, he picked up a microphone and said to the sound engineer hiding nearby, "Give me some music!"
Upbeat music immediately began to play. Tony actually ignored Rhodey and started shaking his hips. Rhodey's face darkened like charcoal—well, it was already charcoal.
He grabbed Tony from behind and said coldly, "I said take it off!"
Hearing that, Tony lowered his faceplate as well. Then the thrusters on his back blasted out fierce gusts, carrying both him and Rhodey into the air and smashing a huge hole through the wall.
"Are you sober now?" Tony looked at Rhodey, who was sprawled on the ground. "This is my armor. Put it back."
Just as Tony turned to leave, Rhodey grabbed a discus and hurled it at him. It hit Tony squarely in the head. Tony was already drunk and muddleheaded, and seeing Rhodey attack, he said, "You want to fight? Come on! I'm not afraid of you!"
Tony lifted an enormous barbell and smashed it down at Rhodey. Rhodey was sent flying, slamming a huge crater into the ground.
