Jiang Yun's Ambition

After listening to Dr. Brief's endless explanation, Jiang Yun finally stated his purpose for coming.

As for how to travel to other parallel worlds, Jiang Yun knew of three ways: the Time Machine used by Future Trunks, the Time Ring worn by the Supreme Kai, and finally, breaking the constraints of space with absolute power. In the original work, reaching Super Saiyan 3 could tear through space, but that power was far from enough to traverse dimensions.

However, Jiang Yun speculated that reaching the realm of the gods might grant the power to cross dimensions, though the spatial turbulence encountered during such travel was a headache.

Thus, the method Jiang Yun considered was to comprehend the power of time and space. In the future, many from the dark factions roamed between parallel timelines—like Fu, an entity who wandered through different spaces, tricking strong warriors into the Prison Planet for experiments.

Jiang Yun had no leads on comprehending the power of time and space yet, but he could use the power of Shenron to gain insight into their mysteries. Although Earth's Shenron was quite useless, it was still quite capable of providing knowledge-based boons.

In the original story, Goku and his friends mostly used the Dragon Balls to revive people or erase the memories of the Earthlings. To Jiang Yun, this was a waste. Instead of erasing memories, it would be better to let people remember the pain so they could strive to become stronger in the future, rather than living in the peace woven by Goku and his friends. Earth would eventually have to face the universe.
