Goku happily performed his warm-up exercises. He couldn't wait to cross blows with Jackie Chan; the stronger his opponent, the more excited he became.
After a series of battles, Goku finally stood on the path to the championship final.
"Now, let us interview the two contestants who have achieved consecutive victories!"
The announcer walked out from behind, aiming his microphone at Goku, who was still warming up. It was clear that Goku was taking this fight very seriously.
"Contestant Goku, what are your odds of winning this fight?"
"Odds? What are those?"
Innocent Goku's response to the announcer's question made the crowd burst into laughter.
"I don't know what that is, I'll just do my best."
After answering, Goku went back to his warm-up exercises.
Faced with Goku's reply, the announcer was clearly embarrassed and had no choice but to interview contestant Jackie Chan instead.
"Do you have any battle plans in mind, contestant Jackie Chan?"
The announcer pointed the microphone at the Turtle Hermit.
The Turtle Hermit didn't speak; he sat quietly with his eyes closed, exuding a unique aura. The crowd was shocked by this presence.
However, a moment later, everyone felt awkward, as the Turtle Hermit had started snoring. He had actually fallen asleep, and his aura vanished in an instant.
The announcer wiped his forehead with a handkerchief to hide his embarrassment and had no choice but to say, "To think our contestant Jackie Chan is so calm that he has actually fallen asleep! He must be very composed. Or is this just the sleepiness of an old man?"
The second half of his sentence was so quiet that surely only he could hear it.
"The final begins!"
After the announcer declared the start, the Turtle Hermit was the first to strike, attacking Goku. However, Goku was a step faster and quickly leaped into the sky.
The Turtle Hermit performed a few flips in the air and kicked toward Goku. Goku was struck directly in the back and sent flying into the distance.
The crowd couldn't help but be shocked. Had Goku been eliminated just like that?
This blockhead, did he think he was safe just by jumping away? So careless, but I never dreamed I could win so easily! If I'd known, I wouldn't have worried so much!
The Turtle Hermit couldn't help but smile triumphantly, raising his hands to cheer with the audience. Even the announcer thought the Turtle Hermit had won.
Just then, the audience began to cheer loudly!
Hearing the crowd's cheers, the Turtle Hermit looked up at the sky. Even Bulma and the others, who had thought Goku was defeated, looked up in surprise.
They saw Goku in the sky spinning his tail rapidly. He had actually used his tail to fly back, his face full of a triumphant smile.
He even waved at the audience from the air, and after landing, he made a funny face at the Turtle Hermit.
The Turtle Hermit couldn't believe that Goku had managed to return to the ring in such a shocking way.
Goku even explained that he had wanted to use the Turtle Hermit's Kamehameha to return to the ring, but that he could save that move for later.
Hearing Goku's words, the Turtle Hermit felt that Goku was looking down on his Kamehameha too much. He believed that a technique he had spent so many years mastering wouldn't be so easily replicated, and he almost blew his cover.
He was so flustered by Goku's relentless questioning that he struck a pose and prepared a Kamehameha on the spot. Unable to back down, he decided to just make Goku shut up. Seeing the Turtle Hermit's energy attack, Goku also assumed the standard Kamehameha stance.
The two of them actually engaged in a beam struggle right there.
The two blasts canceled each other out. The Turtle Hermit was stunned that Goku had mastered the Kamehameha to such a degree.
Afterward, the Turtle Hermit used the Afterimage Fist on Goku. Goku misjudged the move and was buried in a pile of rocks, but the attack didn't seem to affect him in the slightest.
Goku then used the Afterimage Fist himself. The Turtle Hermit saw Goku use it, and it was a double Afterimage Fist at that.
But the Turtle Hermit underestimated Goku; Goku was actually using a triple Afterimage Fist, and he came crashing down from the sky to smash the Turtle Hermit on the head.
"You brat, how dare you hit your master's head!"
The Turtle Hermit said in a fit of anger.
"But isn't my master Grandpa Turtle Hermit?"
Goku asked, confused.
Oh no, the Turtle Hermit thought to himself. He immediately pulled out a forged family tree he had prepared in advance. The crowd was shocked to see it, but they clearly didn't seem to believe it.
Helpless, the Turtle Hermit attacked, drawing everyone's attention back to the fight.
The Turtle Hermit suddenly moved as if he were drunk, knocking Goku down in an instant.
Seeing the Turtle Hermit use this move, Goku had a sudden inspiration and used a Monkey Fist, beating the Turtle Hermit until he was clutching his head and running away.
But then, the Turtle Hermit used Hypnosis. The crowd found the technique amazing, and even Goku watched curiously as the Turtle Hermit performed it.
Even Jiang Yun, who was watching from the shadows, couldn't help but nod secretly. Although the Turtle Hermit's combat power hadn't increased over the years, he certainly had plenty of strange techniques. However, this move had too many limitations; in a real life-or-death duel, no one would wait for you to cast it slowly.
Goku felt dizzy and fell to the ground, clearly hypnotized. Watching Goku fall, even the announcer felt the Turtle Hermit's victory was a bit unsportsmanlike, but he began the count according to the rules.
Everyone was shouting for Goku to get up, but it had no effect. As the count neared the end, Bulma had a sudden idea and shouted, "Goku, it's time to eat!"
To everyone's surprise, Goku stood up instantly. The Turtle Hermit couldn't believe his technique had been broken so easily.
Goku immediately attacked the Turtle Hermit with a Rock-Paper-Scissors strike, but it was seen through by the more experienced Turtle Hermit.
Seeing his move didn't work, Goku immediately used a feint to knock the Turtle Hermit to the ground, but clearly, this move didn't cause the Turtle Hermit much damage.
The climax was only just beginning; the Turtle Hermit's expression was exceptionally serious, while Goku was filled with excitement!
The Turtle Hermit was currently debating whether or not to use that move, though he figured Goku should be able to withstand it.
In order to let Goku taste the bitterness of defeat, and to fulfill the purpose of his own journey, the Turtle Hermit decided to unleash that technique.
The Turtle Hermit's expression turned solemn as he brought his hands together before his chest, as if gathering something.
Suddenly, sparks of electricity began to crackle over the Turtle Hermit's hands. The crowd was stunned, never having imagined that the Turtle Hermit possessed such a powerful move.
Even Goku was no exception, his face filled with shock.
The energy in the Turtle Hermit's hands gathered more and more, and the electrical discharge grew increasingly intense. Seeing such a formidable technique, the onlookers could only wonder how agonizing it would be to take such a hit.
"Thunder Shock Surprise!"
The Turtle Hermit let out a mighty shout!
The current from his hands shot toward Goku, instantly pinning him in mid-air, even causing Goku's hair to stand on end from the electricity.
Goku's expression was one of extreme agony; one could only imagine the sheer magnitude of this move's power!
The crowd was equally shocked, and they began to worry for Goku.
Even Bulma tried to persuade Goku to give up, fearing that if things continued this way, Goku might be killed by the technique!
Yet Goku was filled with unwillingness; clearly, his Saiyan nature refused to let him admit defeat just like that!
Goku was not content to lose so easily and kept resisting the baptism of the electric current, but anyone with a discerning eye could see that he was at the end of his rope and clearly could not hold on for much longer.
What would Goku's ultimate fate be?
