"Xiao Ban, where are we going to have fun next?"
Bibi Dong and Ban Shu strolled through the bustling streets of Heaven Dou City, wandering aimlessly.
"What do you mean? There are plenty of fun things to do here."
Ban Shu pointed toward a rouge shop in the distance. "Don't you girls like this kind of makeup and powder? Why not go in and take a look?"
"I have no interest in those. They don't improve one's strength, so what's the point?"
Bibi Dong merely glanced at the rouge shop before turning her head away. For someone naturally gifted with such beauty, these things were entirely useless.
"Fair enough, I suppose you don't need them anyway."
Ban Shu looked Bibi Dong over; even without makeup, she was a top-tier beauty.
Seeing Ban Shu's appreciative gaze, Bibi Dong smiled slightly, clearly pleased.
"Tell me, we didn't just come here to play, did we?"
Bibi Dong looked around. "Do you have a plan?"
"Of course." Ban Shu pointed to a magnificent building in the distance. "Actually, I have another purpose for coming to Heaven Dou City: the Soul Fighting Arena here."
"The Soul Fighting Arena?"
Bibi Dong looked up at the most prominent, massive circular building in Heaven Dou City and nodded in agreement. "True, how could we come here and not visit the Soul Fighting Arena? It's a perfect way to earn some funds."
"Didn't Teacher give us plenty of money?"
"Oh, Teacher's money is Teacher's, and my own is my own."
Bibi Dong extended a finger and waved it playfully in front of Ban Shu. "It feels like a burden to spend the money Teacher gave us. Earning it myself is different; my little treasury is about to see some income."
"You actually have a secret stash?"
Ban Shu rolled his eyes helplessly and took Bibi Dong's hand. "Let's go, let's book two rooms. The Soul Fighting Arena doesn't open until tonight."
"Oh."
Bibi Dong nodded and followed Ban Shu as they began searching the nearby area.
Before long, the two arrived at a building filled with roses and heart-shaped decorations.
"How about here?"
Bibi Dong pointed to the hotel ahead. "Look, this place is so pretty, the service should be great too."
"Uh..."
Ban Shu looked at the hotel before him and scratched his cheek with his finger. "Don't tell me you don't recognize what this is."
"Oh, what does it matter? As long as it's comfortable to stay in, that's all that counts."
Bibi Dong patted Ban Shu on the shoulder. "What, are you afraid I'll take advantage of you?"
"As if! I, your master, have never been afraid of anything."
Ban Shu snorted. Since Bibi Dong wasn't afraid, why should he be timid? He pulled Bibi Dong inside.
Behind him, Bibi Dong smiled slightly and stuck her tongue out at Ban Shu.
In the distance, Golden Crocodile Douluo, who had been following them, paused and froze when he saw them enter the couples' hotel. "These two children, they shouldn't be so impatient. They are far too young; they shouldn't be thinking about lifelong commitments yet."
Golden Crocodile Douluo stroked his beard, deciding to remind them tonight not to go too far.
Entering the hotel, Ban Shu went to the front desk and tapped the counter. "Two of your best rooms, please."
The receptionist looked at Ban Shu, then at Bibi Dong behind him, and gave a knowing look before smiling. "Sir, we only have one room left."
Realizing the receptionist had misunderstood, Ban Shu shook his head helplessly. "Don't get the wrong idea, we're siblings. We need two rooms."
"I am truly sorry, but there really is only one room left." The receptionist still wore that mysterious smile.
"I knew it."
Ban Shu patted his head, and just as he was about to retort, Bibi Dong pulled him back. "One room is fine, let's just take it."
"Very well."
The next second, the receptionist handed over a key card. "This is your room card, 2399. Please keep it safe."
"That fast? Are you the Flash?" Ban Shu stared blankly at the receptionist; he hadn't even seen how the transaction was processed.
"Oh, why do you care so much? Let's go!" Bibi Dong dragged him upstairs.
After the two went up, the receptionist shook his head and muttered to himself, "Looks like the girl is eating the young grass. Tsk, I hope he doesn't get swindled out of everything."
Opening the room, Bibi Dong immediately spotted the large bed covered in rose petals and excitedly jumped onto it.
"Ooh, so comfortable!"
Bibi Dong did a few swimming motions on the bed, then lay on her side and beckoned to Ban Shu. "Xiao Ban, come over here~"
Ban Shu rolled his eyes in silence. "I'm not even an adult yet, be careful or you'll get arrested."
"Tsk."
Bibi Dong let out a soft hum, eyeing Ban Shu, whose tall frame was already nearing 1.8 meters: "You tell people you're nine; see if anyone believes you."
"Mind your own business. Am I supposed to be criticized for growing well?"
Ban Shu sat by the table and took a box out of his storage ring. The gaps in the box were already brimming with light; it was only a hair's breadth away from opening.
Seeing Ban Shu produce the box, Bibi Dong hurriedly hopped off the bed and leaned over his shoulder: "It's been a whole year. This box can finally be opened; you've worried me to death."
"Don't be impatient. There will be bread, and there will be jam."
Ban Shu exhaled, slowly channeling his soul power into the box. The light upon it gradually brightened until it finally merged into one.
Click.
There were no intense special effects, nor any strange phenomena in the heavens and earth; the box simply opened just like that.
"Hm?"
Bibi Dong, who had been hiding behind Ban Shu and bracing herself, was very confused to see that nothing had happened: "Is this some kind of trap? Did we waste all our effort for nothing?"
"No."
Ban Shu opened the lid to reveal a small, bead-like object inside, looking much like an inlay from something else.
"This is..."
Ban Shu slowly reached out his hand. The next second, the sphere suddenly glowed with purple light and flew into the air.
Before Ban Shu could react, a sharp pain pricked his fingertip, and a drop of blood was absorbed by the sphere, which then floated quietly in the air.
"Xiao Ban? Are you alright?"
Seeing this, Bibi Dong hurriedly grabbed Ban Shu's hand to inspect it repeatedly.
"I'm fine."
Ban Shu stopped Bibi Dong.
"Blood-binding?"
Ban Shu looked at the bloodstain on his finger, lost in thought.
Before long, the sphere began to stir again. After floating in the air for a moment, it merged into the center of Ban Shu's brow.
The next second, Ban Shu closed his eyes and slowly collapsed.
"Xiao Ban!"
Bibi Dong hurriedly caught him and patted his face, but no matter how she called out, Ban Shu didn't make a sound.
"Grandpa Golden Crocodile, Grandpa Golden Crocodile, something happened to Xiao Ban!" Bibi Dong looked around and hurriedly summoned him.
"What happened?"
The next moment, the figure of Golden Crocodile Douluo appeared abruptly in the room.
Bibi Dong quickly recounted what had just happened, then laid Ban Shu on the bed: "Grandpa Golden Crocodile, what happened to Xiao Ban?"
