At Eve's furious demand, Feng Qingyang cast her an icy glance from his narrow, sinister eyes.
Eve's soul was now only the size of a palm, hovering above Feng Qingyang's hand like an exquisite, lifelike figurine.
She was completely naked, her translucent soul glowing faintly blue. Her snowy skin resembled the finest white mutton-fat jade, her sea-blue hair drifted unconsciously through the windless void, and only a vague, graceful outline remained of her golden fishtail.
She looked almost exactly as she had in life.
The only difference was-
She was now translucent, and an incorporeal Daoist rune radiating an ominous black glow held her soul in an unyielding grip.
Like a pitch-black chain, the rune extended from between her brows to her ankles, winding around her several times and locking her firmly in place, leaving her unable to move or resist.
Looking at Eve like this, Feng Qingyang smiled faintly.
The smile spread gently from the corners of his lips, carrying a trace of uncanny, predatory nonchalance and composure.
"Forget it..."
His quiet, indifferent voice drifted beneath the blood-red sky, carrying a careless sort of magnanimity.
"Since your entire clan is dead, I'll tell you, so you can at least be a ghost who knows why she died."
He tilted his head slightly, his blue-green phoenix eyes looking down upon the palm-sized soul in his hand. The dim light deep within his pupils resembled two clusters of burning dark fire, both icy and searing.
"Your Sea Princess clan never offended me, but..."
He paused, the smile at his lips deepening with a trace of undisguised, almost willful malice.
"The deity you worship and praise, the Sea God, Little Scumbag..."
He narrowed his eyes slightly, each word clear and cruel.
"I dislike him intensely, and we have a great blood feud."
