After defeating several classmates and securing a workshop, he faced a coordinated attack from Tang Wulin, Gu Yue, and Xie Xie, then evaded their combined assault.
Zhong Shenxiu defeated two classes in the promotion tournament while Gu Yue sought a connection with him. Haunted by his nine years of battles in the Dragon Fighting World, he challenged Wu Zhangkong and revealed how much he craved the edge of death, leaving Wu Zhangkong concerned for him.
Zhong Shenxiu helped Class Five defeat Class One, entered the newly formed Zero Class, and obtained a powerful energy conversion device with Gu Yue’s help. He fed its stored energy into the altar within his soul, activating the Twelve Star Dragon Statues and the Dragon Fighting Card Box.

Xu Xiaoyan joined Zero Class as Zhong Shenxiu trained with his new teammates and formed a mysterious starlight connection with her. As the Skysea Alliance Grand Competition approached, Zhong Shenxiu entered the Intermediate Spirit Ascension Platform and rescued Ye Xinglan from a Diamond Baboon.
Zhong Shenxiu fought off a pack of Diamond Baboons in the Spirit Ascension Platform, where he met Ye Xinglan and promised to see her again. As Zero Class traveled to Skysea City for the Grand Competition, Gu Yue and Xu Xiaoyan competed for Zhong Shenxiu’s attention, and he reunited with Ye Xinglan at the opening ceremony.
Zhong Shenxiu competed in the Skysea Alliance Grand Competition, defeating Ye Xinglan and advancing Eastsea Academy toward the team final. The Holy Spirit Cult attacked the stadium, and Leng Yulai pursued Zhong Shenxiu into the wilderness, where he confronted her with newly awakened Light Power.
Zhong Shenxiu defeated Leng Yulai, forced her to help charge his Energy Storage Crystal, and uncovered the revived Holy Spirit Cult’s fragmented structure. After Illusion returned and slaughtered Heaven Dou City’s Evil Soul Masters, Zhong Shenxiu set out to target more strongholds while powerful factions claimed credit for the operation.
After helping awaken the Dragon Fighting Plane, Zhong Shenxiu returned to Eastsea City and trained with Zero Class as the students prepared to enter Shrek Academy. The group reached Shrek City, where Zhong Shenxiu's relationships with Xu Xiaoyan and Gu Yue grew closer while Tang Wulin pursued a way to awaken his bloodline.
Zhong Shenxiu led Zero Class through Shrek Academy’s entrance trials, earning top marks and clashing with Cai Yue'er when her hostility flared. The arc ended with Zero Class arriving at Sea God Island and finding Wu Zhangkong kneeling before Zhuo Shi.
Zhong Shenxiu and the Zero Class students entered Shrek Academy as Work-Study Students, where Zhong Shenxiu uncovered interference aimed at Tang Wulin and secured credits by selling Lava Crystal Cores. As classes began, Cai Yue'er targeted Zhong Shenxiu, his relationships with his friends grew strained, and he crushed Yue Zhengyu in a confrontation near the dormitory.
Zhong Shenxiu defeated Shrek Academy’s selection candidates, crippled Cai Yue'er, and led the Star Dragons in a battle that left the academy in ruins. Back at his company, he reunited with Leng Yulai and learned that the Douluo Plane might devour the Dragon Fighting Plane.
Zhong Shenxiu contracted the Douluo Plane and set the Dragon Fighting Plane’s revival in motion as Shrek lost the Golden Ancient Tree and Doulong Technology rose in power. Gu Yue pledged the Soul Beast Clan’s future to Zhong Shenxiu, learned the truth about the Dragon God, and renewed her resolve, while Di Tian and the fierce beasts arrived at Doulong Technology to meet the Plane Master.
Zhong Shenxiu used the Soul Beast Clan’s submission and Shrek Academy’s weakened position to prepare a confrontation with Shrek, while the Black Hand Clan set a trap for its students. In Eastsea City, Leng Yaozhu reunited with Leng Yulai and became entangled with Zhong Shenxiu, but her attempt to reconcile with her sister ended in rejection.
Zhong Shenxiu killed Ye Chen and drew Qiangu Dongfeng’s anger, while the Black Hand Clan attacked Shrek Academy and captured several students. Leng Yaozhu stayed with Zhong Shenxiu and accepted his offer to shelter Leng Yulai, while Gu Yue unknowingly discovered Leng Yaozhu hiding beneath the dinner table.
Zhong Shenxiu awakened the Myriad Creation Dragon God’s power and fought Qiangu Dongfeng and Qiangu Dieting, leaving the Spirit Pagoda devastated and the continent’s balance unsettled. He returned to Dragon Fighting, inherited its laws and authority, and later arrived home to find Gu Yue and Xu Xiaoyan teasing Leng Yaozhu.
Zhong Shenxiu exposed the divine influence within Tang Wulin’s Golden Dragon King bloodline and defeated Tang San’s divine consciousness. As Shrek, the Spirit Pagoda, the Tang Sect, and the Federation prepared to attack Doulong Technology, the Fighting Dragon Clan worried about its weakened strength.
The Skysea Alliance declared independence and launched attacks on Federation border posts, triggering battles between the Star Dragons and the Federation’s allied forces. As the Star Dragons’ formations and coordinated assaults overwhelmed defenders across several fronts, the fighters continued resisting, but the war remained unresolved.
