Background

Yu Luomian is Yu Yuanzhen’s younger brother and the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan’s Second Elder. Before his breakthrough, he was regarded as the clan’s strongest member after Yu Yuanzhen, with Soul Power around Level 85 7.

When Yu Tianlin returned from Nuoding Academy at Level 20, Yu Luomian informed him that Yu Yuanzhen was in seclusion and personally led Tianlin and Qing Luo to the Sunset Forest for their soul-ring hunt. His treatment of Tianlin was formal and impartial, without the special indulgence Yu Yuanzhen showed his disciple 7 8.

During that expedition, Yu Luomian intervened when Yue Guan pursued the injured Dugu Bo under the Pope’s Decree. Though outmatched by the Level 95 Titled Douluo, he refused to let Yue Guan kill Dugu Bo in front of him while Tianlin and Qing Luo were behind him. Yue Guan ultimately withdrew after Yu Luomian’s lightning attacks combined with Dugu Bo’s poison mist 8 9.

After Tianlin provided him with the Purple Lightning Vine and the Nine Heavens Thunder God Art, Yu Luomian broke through to Titled Douluo. He later credited Tianlin’s gifts for resolving the bottleneck that had stalled him for over a decade 12 22.

Personality

Yu Luomian is stern, restrained, and duty-bound. He follows clan procedure closely and initially treats Yu Tianlin as a core disciple rather than an exception, even when escorting him on a dangerous soul-beast hunt 7.

His cold demeanor conceals a strong protective instinct toward the clan. He defied Spirit Hall to protect Dugu Bo, shielded Tianlin and Qing Luo during Yue Guan’s attack, and immediately supported punitive action when Tianlin was targeted by the Ron family 8 20.

He is also blunt toward Yu Xiaogang, whom he considers a disgrace to the clan for remaining passive while Tang San and Xiao Wu were in danger 54 55.

Bala Kingdom Retribution

After Tianlin survives an assassination attempt connected to the Ron family, Yu Luomian and Yu Yuanzhen travel to the Bala Kingdom to demand justice. Yu Luomian takes Ron back to the clan for interrogation after the kingdom yields 20 22.

Battle Against Tang Hao

Yu Luomian joins Yu Yuanzhen and Yu Jin against Tang Hao outside Soto City. Despite Tang Hao’s Deathgod Domain suppressing him heavily, Yu Luomian contributes to the combined final assault that results in Tang Hao’s death 36 37 38.

Capture of Xiao Wu
