Background / History

Tang San awakened Blue Silver Grass at Holy Soul Village's martial soul ceremony. Though others dismissed it as useless, he possessed innate full spirit power. He remained determined to cultivate and was deeply protective of his younger brother, Tang Wu, whose Blue Silver Seed martial soul was similarly underestimated. Tang San treasured their relationship, having lacked family affection as an orphan in his previous life. 1

Tang Wu's experiments and explanations changed Tang San's view of Blue Silver Grass. Tang San came to understand that a martial soul's strength depended on its potential and development rather than its outward appearance, preventing Yu Xiaogang from misleading him with claims that Tang Wu must possess a second martial soul. 3 6

At Notting Academy, Tang San defeated Wang Sheng to become the dorm head. He later rejected Yu Xiaogang's proposed poison-attribute spirit-ring path and independently chose the 400-year-old Iron Peak Forest as his first soul ring. 7 8

Tang San and Tang Wu fought together repeatedly, including against the Explosive Burning Chili, wolf pack, and Vine Scale Turtle. During the fight with the turtle, Tang San was knocked unconscious after allowing concern for Tang Wu to distract him, but recovered and returned to battle. 9 10 27

After being taken with Tang Wu to the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well by Dugu Bo, Tang San recognized the location's significance and later spent months cultivating while detoxifying Dugu Bo. He subsequently followed Tang Wu to the Blue Silver Forest, where the Blue Silver King awakened his bloodline. 42 50

Appearance

Following his Blue Silver Emperor awakening, Tang San's appearance became notably more refined and delicate. 51

  • Blue Silver Emperor bloodline awakened through the Blue Silver King. 50 51
  • His transformed appearance drew sustained attention from others upon returning to Shrek Academy. 51

Personality

Tang San is protective, resilient, and independent. He consistently prioritizes Tang Wu's safety, whether guarding him during dangerous soul-ring absorption, confronting Dugu Bo, or supporting Tang Wu's decision to seek a sixth soul ring alone. 8 42 44 100

He is also cautious and decisive in cultivation. He rejects advice he considers unsuitable, chooses spirit rings based on his own judgment, and uses careful planning to protect those close to him. 7 8 44

Although Tang Wu's unconventional strength sometimes leaves him shocked or envious, Tang San does not become jealous; he continues to support his brother's growth. 3
