The energy sphere approached, cloaked in an aura of destruction, making the warships of the Interstellar Alliance appear infinitely small beneath its shadow. Inside the bridge, the air felt as if it had been sucked dry, suffocating and heavy.
"Think of something! We can't just sit here and wait to die!" An officer hammered frantically at the console, searching in vain for any possible countermeasure, his voice turning shrill from extreme tension.
"All weapons are offline, and the energy shields won't hold much longer. What else can we even do?" Another officer slumped in his chair, head in his hands, his face a mask of despair.
The commander braced himself, maintaining a final shred of composure as his gaze swept rapidly across the console, trying to grasp at any microscopic chance of survival.
His hands trembled involuntarily, and beads of sweat the size of beans rolled down his forehead, soaking the control panel before him. "Contact headquarters! Initiate the emergency defense protocol! Whatever the cost, we must buy time!"
The communications officer's hands shook as he desperately transmitted the signal, his voice laced with tears. "Headquarters, headquarters, this is the Vanguard Fleet, requesting activation of emergency defense! Repeat, requesting activation of emergency defense!" However, only the static of electrical interference answered him, sounding piercingly harsh in the dead silence of space.
"It's over, it's all over..." Someone whispered in despair, and in an instant, the entire bridge was shrouded in a wave of hopelessness.
The Mysterious Person watched the struggles of the Interstellar Alliance, his mockery growing more intense. "Your resistance is like ants facing a giant—utterly meaningless."
"Prepare to meet your end!" With that, he shoved the energy sphere forward. Like a beast unleashed, it surged toward the Interstellar Alliance headquarters with the force of a collapsing mountain.
Wherever the energy sphere passed, black fissures were torn into the fabric of space, leaking cold cosmic energy and emitting an eerie, whistling shriek.
Under the impact of this power, the Interstellar Alliance warships were tossed aside like withered leaves in a gale, crushed one by one and reduced to cosmic dust.
"No!" The commander let out a roar of defiance, yet he could only watch helplessly as ship after ship was destroyed. His eyes were filled with rage, despair, and unwillingness, but faced with this insurmountable power, he felt an unprecedented sense of impotence.
When that powerful super-energy wave, laden with endless hope and strength, surged toward the Mysterious Person with a force that could topple mountains and overturn seas, everyone in the Interstellar Alliance held their breath, their eyes gleaming with anticipation.
They were convinced that this strike would be enough to completely annihilate the Mysterious Person and end this terrible catastrophe.
However, as the light of the energy wave gradually dissipated, the sight before them left everyone frozen in place. The Mysterious Person stood there completely unscathed, though his clothing had been burned away by the intense heat of the wave, revealing skin that shimmered with an eerie luster.
His eyes betrayed an even deeper sense of fury and disdain as he spoke coldly, "Bugs will always be bugs." The voice seemed to come from the depths of hell—cold, bone-chilling, and enough to make one's blood run cold.
Before anyone could recover from the shock, a violent tremor suddenly rocked the core region of the Interstellar Alliance.
As it turned out, the massive energy consumption of the Interstellar God Cannon had triggered a chain reaction, causing the entire energy system of the Interstellar Alliance to spiral out of control.
"Oh no, our energy core is going to explode!" a technician screamed in terror.
Immediately following, deafening explosions rang out one after another.
Starting from the warships, spreading to the planetary defense facilities, and finally reaching the Interstellar Alliance headquarters, the entire organization began to explode slowly under the watchful gaze of the Mysterious Person.
"Boom, boom, boom, boom"—the explosions were continuous, like a death march played by the universe itself. Sparks of energy sprayed everywhere, and various buildings and facilities were shattered into fragments, scattered into every corner of space.
The people of the Interstellar Alliance fled in all directions, their faces filled with fear and despair. They let out miserable cries, their voices sounding so small in the vastness of space that they were quickly drowned out by the explosions.
"Why did it come to this... we gave it everything we had..." The commander collapsed to the ground, tears streaming down his face, his eyes filled with bitterness and despair.
He watched as the once-prosperous Interstellar Alliance turned into a ruin before his eyes, the pain in his heart like a knife twisting within him.
The Mysterious Person hovered in mid-air, watching it all with a satisfied smile. His laughter echoed through this chaotic patch of space, sounding exceptionally jarring.
Finally, with one last, most violent explosion, the entire Interstellar Alliance blossomed into a brilliant spark, casting its final light into the cosmos before slowly fading away, leaving behind only endless darkness and silence.
The Mysterious Person scanned the ruins and said coldly, "Next target..." The voice echoed in space for a long time, signaling that a new crisis was imminent, and the corners of the universe not yet affected seemed to sense this terrifying aura, falling into a state of dead silence and fear.
The Mysterious Person's gaze was icy as he swept over the wreckage of the Interstellar Alliance, dark energy surging wantonly around him as if cheering for this victory.
A cruel smile curled his lips as he whispered, "The universe will soon submit to me once again." Then, he transformed into a streak of black light and set off toward his next target.
In the distant Zeta Galaxy, there was a planet called Aizer. It was one of the few neutral grounds in the universe, inhabited by a group of peace-loving Zeta People. Relying on unique technology, they had hidden the planet Aizer behind a powerful mist of energy, avoiding countless cosmic conflicts. However, the Mysterious Person's sensory abilities were far beyond imagination, and he soon detected the existence of planet Aizer.
"Hmph, to think such a place exists." A flicker of greed crossed the Mysterious Person's eyes. "The technology here might be of use to me." Without hesitation, he charged into the energy mist.
Inside the mist, the Mysterious Person encountered layer upon layer of obstacles. Various turbulent energy currents and invisible defensive mechanisms launched attacks against him, but he broke through them with ease, relying on his immense power.
The Zeta People soon discovered the intrusion, and their leader, Olaf, urgently gathered everyone to discuss countermeasures.
"This dark power is too strong; I fear our defense system won't hold for long," a Zeta scientist said, looking deeply worried.
Olaf furrowed his brows, his expression grave. "We must find a way to stop him; we cannot let him destroy our home."
Just then, a young Zeta stepped forward. "I have an idea. We can use the energy of the planet's core to awaken the ancient Guardian."
The crowd was shocked at these words. The ancient Guardian was the ultimate weapon left behind by the ancestors of the Zeta People; legend had it that it possessed the power to destroy heaven and earth, but activating it might also cause catastrophic damage to the planet.
Olaf fell into deep thought. A moment later, he gritted his teeth and said, "At this point, we have no choice but to gamble."
And so, the Zeta People moved quickly. They opened the passage to the planet's core and began pumping energy continuously into the Guardian's activation device.
The Mysterious Person sensed the actions of the Zeta People and accelerated his advance.
