With the energy reserves of a Super Saiyan, Wang Shen managed to sample every delicacy in West City in just three short days.
That included, but wasn't limited to, fancy hotels, restaurants, eateries, and all kinds of snacks.
"The Earthlings' culinary research is leagues ahead of anything else in the universe!"
"No wonder Champa, in Universe 6—which doesn't have Earth—has to suffer through Baba Bird eggs that all taste the same as chicken eggs, and still treats them like treasures."
On the fourth day,
Wang Shen saw a report on the news about a dangerous incident.
Everyone in an entire city had vanished, leaving nothing behind but clothes strewn everywhere.
Wang Shen knew.
Cell had appeared, having come from the future.
He could naturally use the Mind Sense Technique to detect Cell's location and wipe him out in one fell swoop.
But why would he do that?
The people who had died were Earthlings who had been living perfectly well. He didn't feel bad for them.
So Wang Shen bought a large supply of essentials and a Hoi-Poi Capsule containing two villas.
He planned to head for the offshore islands east of Earth and find an island where he could settle down.

Peace and quiet, comfort, sunshine, sea breeze...
"Let's go! Time to move into my new house!"
Wang Shen shot straight up from the busiest plaza in West City, becoming a streak of light as he sped away.
The beautiful women who had been hoping to strike up a conversation with him cried out in surprise.
They thought, What a shame. I should've made a move sooner. That blond guy got away!
At the speed of Super Saiyan Full Power, Wang Shen soon crossed half of the little continent.
He reached the eastern islands.
Unlike the sunny skies over West City, rain was falling across the eastern islands.
Raindrops pattered down, but not a single one landed on Wang Shen.
They were all deflected by a layer of ki surrounding him, extending three feet from his body.
It was an automatic defense Wang Shen had developed through training.
As long as he had enough ki, it would remain around him, guarding against sudden attacks.
He had simply dismissed it during his earlier battle with Vegeta.
That kind of defense would have been useless against Vegeta.
"What terrible weather. I hate the rain."
To Wang Shen,
rain meant gloom, trouble, and cold.
The rain grew heavier and heavier, until it was pouring.
Wang Shen looked up at the enormous dark clouds above and continued to rise, piercing the sky until he reached the other side of the clouds.
The world, which had been dark and cold, instantly brightened, warm as the spring sun.
Smiling, Wang Shen spread his arms and basked in the sunlight to his heart's content.
Then he fired a blast from his hand, scattering the thick clouds completely. The explosion of energy even evaporated all the moisture within them.
The world was bright once more.
"Hm!?"
Beneath the clouds, a figure clad in blue battle armor stood atop a mountain, letting the rain soak him from head to toe.
When the rain dissipated, he spotted the energy blast, too.
"That's Karotis's ki."
Vegeta muttered to himself.
He looked up, his gaze piercing the clouds, and saw a familiar figure.
"Vegeta!"
Wang Shen had noticed Vegeta, too.
"So this is where you are!"
Wang Shen's voice came from beside Vegeta.
Wang Shen knew that, in the original story, after Android 18 had beaten him badly, Vegeta had gone off on his own to lick his wounds and think about life.
He just hadn't expected that this was where he'd gone.
And he'd happened to run into him.
"Did you come here to laugh at me, Karotis?" Vegeta demanded in a low voice.
He had lost to Karotis before, and now the man dared to show up in front of him again.
"Don't be like that, Vegeta. We're friends, after all," Wang Shen said with a smile.
He stepped forward to pat Vegeta on the shoulder, but Vegeta dodged him.
Wang Shen could only continue explaining:
"Actually, I'm here to find a home."
"A home?"
"Yeah. I'm planning to pick one of these islands and make it my home. You can come visit whenever you want, Vegeta."
Unlike Vegeta's cold expression, Wang Shen was still grinning.
"Hmph. In your dreams!"
Vegeta flatly rejected Wang Shen's invitation.
"What about those three androids? Why aren't they with you?"
Vegeta still couldn't let the androids go. He wanted another fight with them to reclaim some of his pride.
"Oh, I let them go."
"They're actually good people, Vegeta. They aren't the evil androids who do nothing but commit atrocities, like Trunks said."
Wang Shen patiently explained it to Vegeta.
He hoped Vegeta would let go of his obsession with the androids.
Otherwise, Wang Shen was afraid he'd have to beat Vegeta up again.
"They were human to begin with. Dr. Gero captured them, subjected them to cruel experiments, and forced them to become androids under his control."
"They've never even killed anyone of their own accord, even though you, Piccolo, and Trunks all wanted to destroy them at the time."
"I believe they're good people."
Vegeta could be persuaded by kindness, not force.
Wang Shen appealed to his feelings and reason, and Vegeta finally softened a little.
Wang Shen smiled and continued:
"Besides, they have infinite energy. Their stamina and energy will never run out."
"Even you, Vegeta, are no match for them."
"Impossible! I'm a Super Saiyan!"
Vegeta reacted fiercely, glaring at Wang Shen.
"Don't underestimate me, Karotis."
"Even if you're stronger than me now, I, the Saiyan Prince, will surpass you one day."
Vegeta raised his boulder-sized fist and shook it at Wang Shen.
It looked comical, but Wang Shen really could sense that Vegeta's ki had grown a little stronger than it had been when they fought a few days ago.
But it was too slow.
And that was only because he'd fought Wang Shen.
Wang Shen said seriously:
"Vegeta, I know of a perfect place to train. Would you like to go?"
"What do you mean?"
"Vegeta, you've seen it yourself. Becoming a Super Saiyan is only the beginning. We Saiyans have no limits."
"If our enemies keep getting stronger, then we have to get stronger, too. We have to surpass the Super Saiyan!"
"Even ordinary androids have already surpassed us Super Saiyans, and Dr. Gero's creations include an Ultimate Android, too."
Wang Shen's golden eyes were especially earnest, deeply stirring Vegeta's heart.
"If you don't want the Super Saiyan to be humiliated, then we have to keep moving forward and surpass everyone!"
Boom!
Wang Shen suddenly released the vast, long-dormant ki within him.
As the wave spread, the islands shook and the sea churned.
All the mountains within a thousand miles were flattened, except for the one beneath Wang Shen and Vegeta, which remained as it had been.
Even Vegeta's heart trembled.
Under the pressure of this terrifying ki at close range, his body shook uncontrollably!
"Is this... the power that surpasses the Super Saiyan?"
"No. This is a level beyond the Super Saiyan who surpasses the Super Saiyan. I call it Super Saiyan Full Power."
"It's the most powerful form, yet it puts the least strain on the body. It's a balanced form, the most suited for battle. Once you train to a high enough level, you can even use it as your normal state."
Vegeta stared at Wang Shen, dumbfounded, lost in thought.
