Background / History

Tang Hao covertly accompanied Tang San and Yu Xiaogang when they departed Nuoding City for the Soul Hunting Forest. He continued to monitor Tang San’s early growth from the shadows, including Tang San’s battle with a Mandala Snake. 4 8

He was associated with Ah Yin, the Hundred-Thousand-Year Blue Silver Emperor. Zhou Tao later uncovered and publicized that Tang Hao had concealed Ah Yin in a waterfall chamber, used her weakened state as part of his plans for Tang San, and had taken the Blue Silver Emperor Right Leg Bone from his hiding place. 5 6 7

After Zhou Tao deprived Tang San of the opportunity to inherit the Blue Silver Emperor bloodline, Tang Hao attempted to seize that bloodline from the Blue Silver King. When refused, he attacked the Blue Silver Forest and sought to kill the Blue Silver King. 63 64

Tang Hao repeatedly intervened to protect Tang San from Zhou Tao. He confronted Zhou Tao and Dugu Bo after Tang San’s defeat, attempted to overpower them with the Great Sumeru Hammer, and later used Asura God power to help Tang San escape. 61 65 79 113 114

As Tang San’s cultivation faltered, Tang Hao blamed Yu Xiaogang for his son’s poor progress and brutally beat him. He ultimately spared Yu Xiaogang because he believed the latter’s knowledge of Twin Martial Soul cultivation was necessary for Tang San to become a Title Douluo. 91 92

During his final conflict with Zhou Tao, Tang Hao stayed behind to buy Tang San time to flee toward Slaughter City. Zhou Tao and Dugu Bo subsequently ambushed him; after being immobilized and severely wounded, Tang Hao detonated all nine of his Spirit Rings in a desperate final attack. He is also portrayed as arrogant, ruthless, and prone to shifting blame. After being defeated by Zhou Tao, he blamed Yu Xiaogang for Tang San’s weak martial soul rather than accepting responsibility for the situation. 62 63

His pursuit of power extends to exploitation of others. He viewed Ah Yin and her Blue Silver Emperor inheritance as means to strengthen Tang San, while his assault on the Blue Silver King showed his willingness to destroy others for that objective. 63 64 98
