Fortunately, Wang Dong wasn't walking fast. Huo Yuhao caught up and walked alongside him. Neither of them said a word the whole way.
When they reached Sea God Lake, Wang Dong found a bench and sat down. Seeing this, Huo Yuhao sat beside him.
Once seated, Huo Yuhao said, "Um, after classes this afternoon, I'm going outside the academy to sell grilled fish. I'll be back around eight."
Wang Dong stared into Sea God Lake, lost in thought, and didn't hear a word Huo Yuhao said.

Sea God Lake was beautiful, situated at the very center of Shrek Academy. Huo Yuhao had heard one of his classmates say that the island in the middle of the lake was Sea God Island, where the Shrek Inner Court was located.
Huo Yuhao spotted a red dot over the middle of the lake. It rapidly grew larger, and only when it drew near did he realize it was a red figure flying straight toward them.
At first, Huo Yuhao hadn't noticed anything amiss. But when the figure came close, he felt intense heat radiating from it.
Wang Dong noticed something was wrong, too. He instinctively tried to leave, but once again, he couldn't control himself. He scooped up Huo Yuhao, spread his Martial Soul, and swiftly flew backward.
A wave of Soul Power and heat surged toward them, knocking Wang Dong unconscious. He lost consciousness, his mind full of questions.

Song Mu pushed open the door and walked into the dorm, looking a little tired. He'd had theory classes that morning and training that afternoon. He had just finished a full day of classes and planned to take a good shower, then head to the Beast Fighting Zone.
The King Ball flew out on its own. A flash of white light passed, and Wang Dong'er appeared in the dorm.
Seeing Wang Dong'er appear, Song Mu asked in confusion, "Why did you come out?"
Wang Dong'er replied, "You go shower first. I'll get you something to eat. That way, you won't have to make another trip."
She added, "Don't read too much into it. I just want to get to the Beast Fighting Zone sooner."
Song Mu took out his Gold Soul Coin Card and handed it to Wang Dong'er. "All right, thanks."
He didn't tell Wang Dong'er what he wanted to eat, since she already knew his tastes.
Taking the card, Wang Dong'er walked out of the room.
As soon as she stepped outside, Wang Dong'er began to regret it. This was the boys' dormitory, and it was between classes, so plenty of boys were in the hallway.
The moment she appeared, she drew everyone's attention. The corridor, which had been noisy just a second earlier, fell dead silent.

Everyone's eyes focused on the door to Song Mu's dorm room. In their minds, he had already become a legend.
The sound of running water in the bathroom gradually stopped. Before long, Song Mu came out, drying his hair with a towel. A few minutes later, the door opened, and Wang Dong'er walked in carrying takeout.

She sensed something and looked up. Song Mu was watching her with an odd expression. Wang Dong'er asked, "Why are you looking at me?"
"Nothing," Song Mu said.
Song Mu looked away and took out his portion.
He figured Wang Dong'er had just gone to buy food because she wanted some herself.
After they finished eating and tidied up, the two of them prepared to head to the Beast Fighting Zone.
Song Mu asked, "Do you want to go in first and come back out once we get to the Beast Fighting Zone?"
While he was eating, he'd figured out why Wang Dong'er had looked so relieved when she returned.
Wang Dong'er said, "It's fine. Let's go."
She opened the door and went out first. Fortunately, the hallway was empty at this hour. Song Mu put on his jacket and followed her.
But behind them, a door opened, and someone stepped out.
He was a student in Freshman Class Nine, so he naturally knew Song Mu.
The moment he saw that familiar figure and the girl beside him, his pupils contracted. He cried out in shock,
"Impressive! As expected of our class monitor. He did with ease what I could never do!"
The Beast Fighting Zone was where Shrek's students fought Soul Beasts. Naturally, it could host multiple students fighting at the same time.

At that moment, Song Mu and Wang Dong'er were in one of the smaller arenas.
Song Mu sat at the edge of the arena, watching Wang Dong'er play with the Wind Tiger and the Blazing Lion.
Wang Dong'er reached out her slender, long hand and stroked the Blazing Lion's fiery red fur. Looking at Song Mu, she said happily, "It's really soft!"
Song Mu smiled and nodded.
Wang Dong'er turned back and placed both hands on either side of the Blazing Lion's head. "But why is your face so long? You're kind of ugly."
She abandoned the Blazing Lion and went over to the Wind Tiger. "You're much better-looking. Hehe. Come on, shake hands."
