Hearing the commotion, the black-robed old man slowly turned around, revealing a face covered in strange patterns. A sinister smile tugged at the corner of his mouth. "Changchunzi, it's been many years. Do you still remember me?"
"So it really is you, the Nether Ghost Sect's Blood Sha Old Devil!"
Li Yunjing's gaze sharpened. He said in a low voice, "I didn't expect you to still be alive."
Blood Sha Old Devil chuckled darkly. "Thanks to you all, I took a trip to Ghost Gate Pass. I even gained some new insights along the way."
Liu Ruyan gripped her flying sword and asked quietly, "Yunjing, what's this old devil's background?"
"He's the Grand Elder of the Nether Ghost Sect, and his cultivation has reached the Nascent Soul Seventh Layer."
Li Yunjing's expression was grave. "He specializes in the Blood Sha Demonic Art. He once slaughtered three cities single-handedly. Later, the major sects and lineages joined forces to hunt him down. Rumor had it that he'd perished."
"Li Yunjing, you do remember things well."
Blood Sha Old Devil laughed uproariously. "But today, I don't have time to reminisce with you."
As soon as he finished speaking, he slammed a palm toward the Blood Pool. The blood surged upward, transforming into a colossal blood dragon that roared as it lunged at Li Yunjing and the others.
"Fall back!"
Li Yunjing shouted. His hands swiftly formed seals, and a golden barrier sprang up, blocking the blood dragon.
"Rumble!"
The blood dragon slammed into the barrier with a deafening boom. Cracks immediately appeared across its surface.
Changchunzi's face changed dramatically. "This old devil is even stronger than he was back then!"
