He even encountered several naturally formed regions of spatial distortion. The seemingly calm sea concealed murderous intent: one wrong step could leave someone shredded by spatial forces or transported to some unknown, perilous place.
None of these posed much trouble for Li Yunjing, however.
His soul was powerful, and he was extraordinarily sensitive to spatial fluctuations, allowing him to avoid them in advance.
Even when he occasionally could not evade them, his formidable physique and the defenses of his chaos thunder body were enough to weather them head-on.
Thus, he traveled through the dense fog and danger for another three days.
Ahead, the fog seemed to thin somewhat.
The outline of an island appeared within Li Yunjing's perception.
The island was not particularly large, spanning roughly a hundred li. Jagged rocks covered it, vegetation was sparse, and the whole island was a somber gray-black, as though seawater and time had eroded it for countless years.
Sure enough, scattered silver specks resembling tiny meteors streaked through the sky above the island, trailing long tails as they plunged into the sea or struck the island with low rumbles, sending sprays of water and shattered stone flying.
This was Shattered Star Isle.
A faint membrane of light enveloped the island's perimeter, evidently a defensive formation someone had installed. Though not especially powerful, it was enough to block the falling "star fragments" and the occasional attacks of low- and mid-tier sea beasts.
