Sikong Jing learned that Green Leaf Heavenly Emperor had killed human quasi-emperors who refused to hunt the Previous Lord of Ten Thousand Beasts, while Nine Heavens Emperor battled Green Leaf and the Imperial Legacy Battlefield began to collapse. Before leaving, Sikong Jing arranged for Su Yuexian to lead the ancient beasts to the Cangyu Demon Sect and prepared his allies for what would happen outside.
Nine Heavens and the eight Quasi-Emperor spirit shadows destroyed Green Leaf Heavenly Emperor’s avatar, and Nine Heavens vanished after revealing she had taken the Blood Devour Magic Beast somewhere isolated to keep it from devouring the world. Sikong Jing learned the old King of Night Charms had been waiting for him to help its child, then revealed that he was the new Lord of Ten Thousand Beasts.
The old King of Night Charms explained the dangers of the King of Night Charms reclaiming its nine reincarnated souls and asked Sikong Jing to guide them, then vanished after Su Yuexian called it Mother. As the Imperial Legacy Battlefield collapsed and the factions rushed inside, Sikong Jing escaped into the Boundless Sea, while the Heaven-Soaring Imperial Family ordered the cave sealed to capture him.
After Sikong Jing escaped the shattered Imperial Legacy Battlefield, the Heaven-Soaring Imperial Family sealed the area and survivors confirmed that he had killed Ling Jindi and many of their geniuses. Su Yuexian concealed Sikong Jing’s role in Gan Cun’s death, while Granny Gan demanded to know where Sikong Jing had gone.
Su Yuexian and the Sovereign Seal survivors concealed Sikong Jing’s fate and Jun Guxian’s death while accusing the Dark Sea of the battlefield deaths. Jun Guqiao accepted their account for the moment, and Mo Fuyuan and the others supported it, leaving the two sides tense after the battle.
Ling Yuman identified Sikong Jing as the killer and said he possessed Nine Heavens demon blood, but Su Yuexian admitted killing several survivors before the wounded woman could reveal more. The factions spread conflicting accounts of Sikong Jing’s power, launched a manhunt, and departed the battlefield amid political tensions.
Sikong Jing tested whether he could conceal his other bloodlines from the Heaven-Soaring Imperial Family’s detection treasures and decided he needed to absorb the Heaven-Soaring Emperor’s essence blood before infiltrating their core territory. The chapter ended as he began drawing the essence blood’s energy into his body.
Sikong Jing absorbed the Heaven-Soaring Emperor’s essence blood to conceal his Nine Heavens Imperial Bloodline and hide his powerful beast-vein dantian. On Frost Isle, Ling Yugui learned that the island lord had let a man resembling Sikong Jing go without learning his name.
Sikong Jing used his Heaven-Soaring Imperial Bloodline to make Ling Yugui mistake him for a powerful young master, causing Ling Yugui to leave without confronting him. He then considered tracing his mother’s Heaven-Soaring branch and his father’s Sikong Family, and stepped outside to question the island master.
Disguised as a young man named Ling, Sikong Jing questioned Frost Isle’s lord about the two Sikongs and his parents’ history. Ma Shuquan revealed rumors connecting the wanted Sikong Jing to the destroyed Sikong families, and Sikong Jing pressed him to say whether Sikong Ding’s family had raised him in secret.
Sikong Jing learned that some members of his father's family may have survived, then turned to ask about his mother's origins before Xiao Nanpan's arrival interrupted him. Xiao Nanpan, the Mysterious Xiao Sect master's son, demanded the inn be cleared, leaving Ma Shuquan watching Sikong Jing to judge how important he was.
Sikong Jing stayed in the inn while Ma Shuquan went to greet Xiao Nanpan, a young master of the Mysterious Xiao Sect. After Sikong Jing crushed Xiao Nanpan’s sword strike with chopsticks, he invited him inside and pinned him in place with his Heaven-Soaring Imperial Bloodline aura.
Sikong Jing was mistaken for Mi’er's missing Second Brother, and he initially refused to claim the identity. When Xiao Nanpan ordered his guards to capture him, Sikong Jing changed his mind and openly moved to take Mi'er with him.
Sikong Jing rescued Mi'er from Xiao Nanpan and escaped through space, leaving Xiao Nanpan to order a pursuit. Xiao Nanpan explained that Sikong Jing came from a disgraced Scattered Star collateral branch, while Mi'er had been adopted into the Heaven-Soaring Imperial Family’s direct line, and he planned to make Sikong Jing his guard.
Sikong Jing tried to convince Ling Mi'er that he was not her missing second brother, but she remained convinced until she eventually accepted her mistake and left with the Mysterious Xiao Sect elders. Her words led Sikong Jing to suspect that they might be real cousins, but two elders returned to confront him.
Sikong Jing fought off two Mysterious Xiao Sect elders who had come to take him to Frost Isle, then learned his family’s condemnation may have involved a Sikong Couple and agreed to go with them. Meanwhile, Xiao Nanpan threatened Ling Mi’er’s second brother and prepared to force himself on her.
Xiao Nanpan threatened Ling Mi'er and tried to force himself on her, but his congenital illness suddenly flared up. He died despite desperate treatment, leaving his attendants stunned and Ling Mi'er still trapped in the aftermath.
After Xiao Nanpan died from his illness, his guards and elders framed Ling Mi'er for poisoning him and then accused Sikong Jing of helping her. Sikong Jing faced the Mysterious Xiao Sect forces as the tavern shattered around them.
Sikong Jing defeated the Mysterious Xiao Sect members at the inn and summoned a Heaven-Soaring Imperial Family authority to clear the accusation against Ling Mi'er and her family. After revealing that he was not her second brother, he asked Ling Mi'er to agree to let him impersonate him so he could move freely within the family.
Sikong Jing convinced Ling Mi'er to let him impersonate her missing second brother, Ling Jianxing, to help her family survive the accusation surrounding Xiao Nanpan's death. As Ling Mi'er explained why the Crescent Moon Lineage had been punished, Sikong Jing discovered that her aunt—his mother, Ling Xiaotian—had been taken from her grandparents by Ling Dongwei.
Ling Mi'er told Sikong Jing how Ling Dongwei had killed her grandfather and punished the Crescent Moon Lineage after Ling Xiaotian eloped. Sikong Jing revealed he was Ling Xiaotian's son, claimed Ling Jianxing's identity, and prepared to face an approaching expert while proving Xiao Nanpan had died in an attack.
A Divine Emperor Realm elder from the Heaven-Soaring Imperial Family declared Xiao Nanpan had been poisoned and ordered Sikong Jing and Ling Mi'er arrested without investigating. Sikong Jing overwhelmed Ling Yugui and his men, dismissed the elder as unqualified to judge the case, and launched a sword attack against him.
Sikong Jing defeated the Divine Emperor Realm elder on Frost Isle, declared himself Ling Jianxing of the Crescent Moon Lineage, and escaped with Ling Mi'er. After the Mysterious Xiao Sect issued warrants for them, Sikong Jing hid Xiao Nanpan’s corpse in the sea to delay the sect’s search and buy the Crescent Moon Lineage time.
Sikong Jing revealed his identity to Ling Mi'er and explained how he planned to use his Heaven-Soaring Imperial Bloodline to protect the Crescent Moon Lineage. He headed for Nine Swords Isle to prove his strength by comprehending its Nine Swords Wall, while the Mysterious Xiao Sect grew furious over Xiao Nanpan's death.
Sikong Jing and Ling Mi'er headed to Nine Swords Isle to prove that Ling Jianxing and Sikong Jing were different people. After defeating the wanted squad and guards at the entrance, Sikong Jing demanded that they be allowed to enter and undergo the usual bloodline test.
