Ling Yuyue tried to use wine, poison, and a seduction act to make Sikong Jing submit to her family, but he ignored her to work on a damaged tome and struck her when she interrupted him. The story left Ling Yuyue stunned against the wall while Sikong Jing continued working.
Sikong Jing rejected Ling Yuyue’s offer to become Ling Dongchuan’s grandson-in-law and demanded that the collateral branch be given a chance at the Family Head position. After Ling Yuyue tried to leave, Sikong Jing poisoned her and trapped her in the room, leaving her powerless and asking what he intended to do.
Sikong Jing poisoned Ling Yuyue and forced her to keep the secret while she searched for a cure, using her fear to make her return to him. After three days of failed attempts, Ling Yuyue came back demanding a promise, and Sikong Jing revealed that he had deliberately made the poison without a perfect antidote.
Sikong Jing used Ling Yuyue’s poison and his remaining Heaven-Soaring Emperor’s blood essence to bargain for freedom to explore the Heaven-Soaring Giant Continent without elder-level watchers. Ling Yuyue agreed to speak with Ling Dongchuan, while a guard secretly monitored her.
Sikong Jing persuaded Ling Yuyue to secure permission for him to leave the Scripture Repository, while Ling Dongchuan secretly arranged for elders to follow them. After Ling Yuyue led him into a forbidden land where her family was conquering a beast soul, Sikong Jing vanished and revealed that he intended to destroy it.
Sikong Jing rescued the fourth ferocious beast soul from the Demon Court Desolate Land and framed Ling Dongwei’s forces, using Flameburn Quasi-Emperor’s aura to hide his identity. Ling Yuyue realized he was deliberately manipulating the conflict between her grandfather and Ling Dongwei, but Sikong Jing warned her not to say it aloud.
Sikong Jing used Ling Dongwei’s hidden operatives to escape the Demon Court Desolate Land while disguising himself as one of their leaders and kidnapping Ling Yuyue. He hid with her inside a Saint Martial demonic beast, leaving the elders and guards fighting the fleeing operatives behind.
Sikong Jing broke the Grand Elder’s restriction, escaped his pursuit with Ling Yuyue, and reached the Heaven-Soaring Abyss Forbidden Land. As he prepared to head for the Second Elder’s territory, he recalled that the abyss passages connected to this forbidden land had helped his father escape the Heaven-Soaring Imperial Family.
Sikong Jing took Ling Yuyue toward the Second Elder’s territory while weighing his plans and asking about the Elder. Meanwhile, Ling Dongwei and Ling Dongchuan each blamed the other for the abduction of Ling Yuyue and the disappearance of Ling Jianxing, and Ling Dongchuan began to suspect Ling Jianxing himself.
Sikong Jing brought Ling Yuyue to Heaven-Soaring Spearpoint Tower and began helping her climb by teaching her the tower’s Spear Way and sharing the Heaven-Soaring Emperor’s blood qi. Ling Dongchuan set out to confront Ling Dongwei, while Sikong Jing and Ling Yuyue were left at the tower’s one hundred fiftieth floor.
Sikong Jing advanced Ling Yuyue to the 196th floor of the Heaven-Soaring Spearpoint Tower, then restrained her there to frame the Second Elder for her kidnapping and negotiate with him. After reaching the tower’s summit, Sikong Jing infiltrated the Second Elder’s palace complex in a beast’s body and waited for the Second Elder to finish meeting Master Xie.
Sikong Jing overheard the Second Elder and Master Xie scheme to charge Ling Zhonghuang fifteen Void Energy Crystals to treat his daughter, Ling Yuman. He realized the deal could lead him to the void rift entrance and learned that Ling Zhonghuang controlled its location.
Sikong Jing used a spirit shadow inside a carriage beast to lure the Second Elder into a meeting, claiming to know the source of Ling Zhonghuang’s Void Energy Crystals. The Second Elder tracked him to a Divine Shuttle Ship, where Sikong Jing revealed a crystal and drew his attention to Ling Yuyue tied up in Heaven-Soaring Spearpoint Tower.
Sikong Jing forced the Second Elder to negotiate by revealing that Ling Yuyue was in his territory and could expose him as the instigator of the conflict. He proposed posing as Master Xie's medicine boy to reach Ling Zhonghuang and Ling Yuman, steal a key to the Evil Crescent River, and enter the world within the void rift, leaving the Second Elder to decide whether to cooperate.
Sikong Jing negotiated an alliance with the Second Elder by promising access to the void rift and the Flame Prison Heavenly Emperor, while keeping Ling Yuyue as leverage. Disguised as Master Xie's medicine boy, he set out with the Second Elder toward Ling Dongwei's territory, drawing closer to his parents.
Sikong Jing accompanied the Second Elder and Master Xie to Ling Dongwei’s territory, where Master Xie examined Ling Yuman. Sikong Jing discovered the old King of Night Charms’ power was keeping her unconscious, and Master Xie privately admitted he could not cure her.
Sikong Jing revealed that Ling Yuman was afflicted by the old King of Night Charms’ spirit-shadow power and devised a plan to enter a Void Rift World under the pretense of treating her. The chapter ended with Ling Zhonghuang asking Sikong Jing what conditions were needed to cure his daughter completely.
Sikong Jing, disguised as Master Xiao Xing, persuaded Ling Zhonghuang that a Void Rift World could completely cure Ling Yuman, while Ling Zhonghuang secretly planned to kill him and frame Ling Dongchuan. Meanwhile, the Second Elder revealed Sikong Jing’s identity to Master Xie and realized that his death would lift Ling Yuyue’s restriction.
The Second Elder prepared to seize the Void Rift while Ling Dongwei's territory was undermanned, and Ling Dongchuan and Ling Dongwei began to suspect him of instigating their conflict. Ling Zhonghuang took Ling Yuman and the supposedly unconscious Sikong Jing into the Void Rift World, bringing Sikong Jing closer to his parents.
Sikong Jing entered the Void Rift World disguised as Master Xiao Xing and cured Ling Yuman, then fled when he realized Ling Zhonghuang planned to kill him. He tried to draw Ling Zhonghuang deeper into the rift, but loyal fighters blocked his escape.
Sikong Jing revealed his identity as Ling Jianxing while fleeing with Ling Zhonghuang into the void rift world, where he planned to weaken his pursuers and delay Ling Dongwei. After Sikong Jing sent the signal, the Second Elder attacked Ling Dongwei’s palace, setting a battle in motion over the rift world.
Sikong Jing reached the mining grounds where his parents were imprisoned, killed the overseers who tried to stop him, and passed his parents without revealing his identity. Sikong Ding wondered whether the tears on his face belonged to the white-robed scholar, while Ling Zhonghuang continued pursuing him.
Sikong Jing’s disguise as Ling Jianxing fell away when Ling Zhonghuang cornered him in the Void Rift World. He revealed himself as Sovereign Seal Sikong Jing and confessed to his attacks on the Heaven-Soaring Imperial Family before Ling Zhonghuang and the deathsworn charged him.
Sikong Jing fought Ling Zhonghuang and the remaining dead warriors in the void-rift, using his demonic strength to pressure Ling Zhonghuang’s dwindling true energy. At the mining grounds, Sikong Ding and Ling Xiaotian watched from afar while Ling Yuman questioned how Ling Jianxing had entered the rift.
Ling Yuman learned that Sikong Jing was the Nine Heavens successor, and Sikong Ding and Ling Xiaotian realized he was their son, A-Jing. Ling Yuman took Ling Xiaotian hostage while the old overseer bound Sikong Ding, leaving both parents unable to intervene as their son fought Ling Zhonghuang.
