Sikong Jing accompanied the Tyrant Heaven Chamber of Commerce as it inspected the Beiheng Sword Formation, then realized its interest could threaten the Azure Dragon Small Domain’s people. The group reached North Dance City to investigate, while Sikong Jing resolved to protect the domain before he left.
Sikong Jing warned Hua Meixi against teaching Fu Jiaoxing, but she rebuffed him as Fu used bought witnesses to bolster his claims about the Qianyuan Battle-Killing Diagram. The crowd then recognized Sikong Jing as Divine Marshal Sikong.
Sikong Jing exposed Fu Jiaoxing’s bribery and false claims about the Beiheng Sword Formation before the people of North Dance City. After Fu Jiaoxing attacked the crowd in rage, Sikong Jing intercepted him and moved to kill him.
Sikong Jing defended the people of his hometown after Fu Jiaoxing attacked, while Guo Zixia and the other geniuses threatened to target the Azure Dragon Small Domain. He declared he could handle the threat himself, then had Sui Yu demonstrate the Army-Slaying Formation with the Yun Province army.
Sikong Jing revealed that Army-Slaying Formations had spread throughout the Azure Dragon Small Domain and warned the Tyrant Heaven Chamber of Commerce not to seize his homeland. He then confronted Fu Jiaoxing and ordered him to apologize to North Dance City’s people and slap himself ten times.
Sikong Jing defeated Fu Jiaoxing, warned the outsiders to stay away from the Azure Dragon Small Domain, and prepared to leave with Old Mo. When asked about his army-slaying formation, he concealed the truth behind a story about Su Beiheng's illusion realm, while Gongyang Ying's taunt sent Fu Jiaoxing unconscious again.
After leaving the Azure Dragon Small Domain, Sikong Jing worried that it could not withstand the Tyrant Heaven Chamber of Commerce and tried to find a way to defend it. A member of the Fury Flower Squad then apologized on Hua Meixi’s behalf and secretly asked Sikong Jing for help with an Army-Slaying Diagram.
Sikong Jing began secretly teaching the Fury Flower Squad about Army-Slaying Formations, while using their knowledge to improve his own study of the Qianyuan Battle-Killing Diagram. Half a month later, he sensed that the demonic beast auras in the Bright Dragon Mountain Range had weakened.
Sikong Jing learned about the Saint Martial Stage experts and the many factions based in Bright Dragon Stronghold as he traveled there. Meanwhile, Ju Dan heard how Sikong Jing had defeated the Western Lands delegation and reacted with fury.
Ju Dan planned to avenge her daughter Ren Dongmeng by killing Sikong Jing in the quota battle or targeting his family and friends. When Sikong Jing arrived at Bright Dragon Stronghold, Ju Dan confronted him, and he asked if she wanted to know how Ren Dongmeng died.
Sikong Jing provoked Ju Dan by calling Ren Dongmeng’s death cheap, and Ju Dan tried to kill him before Hua Meixi intervened. Ju Dan withdrew and threatened Hua Lidian, then left with Ju Hua, whose strength made the Northern Lands fear the coming quota battle.
The Northern Lands' geniuses learned that the Southern Lands had a powerful contender in Wang He and that they could not withdraw from the slot battle. As they scattered to seek protection, Sikong Jing remained in the North Courtyard with Gongyang Ying and Chou Zhan.
Sikong Jing, Chou Zhan, and the other contenders prepared for a deadly selection battle while the Eastern Plains adjudicator, Yao Yuzhi, announced its rules and first reward. The contenders learned that only eighteen of the seventy-two would survive, and they were led to a palace where nine lower-grade spirit swords awaited.
Yao Yuzhi explained that the first contest would award nine spirit swords to those who passed through the Tyrant Pattern Arrays, with the regions entering in order of their rankings from the previous quota battle. The Western Lands began the contest, and all eighteen of its geniuses advanced through the first stage as Sikong Jing watched.
The sword-seizing challenge in the Tyrant Pattern Array quickly reduced Ju Dan’s Western Lands group to five, while Sikong Jing judged that they could claim at most four swords. Elsewhere, Yao Yuzhi appraised Hua Meixi’s battle-slaying diagram, and Hua Meixi’s unexpected effort to help Sikong Jing left Yao Yuzhi questioning her motives.
Hua Meixi insisted on helping Sikong Jing, while the Western, Southern, and Eastern Lands finished their sword-seizing attempts and left two swords for the Northern Lands. Sikong Jing entered the Tyrant Pattern Array after trading taunts with Ju Hua, but the chapter ended with Nu Guang being eliminated immediately and the crowd laughing at the Northern Lands.
Sikong Jing continued through the Tyrant Pattern Array as the Eastern Plains Northern Lands suffered widespread eliminations, while Lang Zhengzhi insisted Sikong Jing would seize a sword despite the crowd’s mockery. Near the array’s end, only Sikong Jing and Chou Zhan remained, with both facing powerful conjured opponents and the audience convinced they would fail.
Sikong Jing used his understanding of the Army-Slaying Formation to break the Tyrant Pattern Array, claim a sword, and help Chou Zhan pass. Yao Yuzhi ruled that they had cheated but still passed because the array’s rules could be cracked.
Yao Yuzhi upheld the sword-seizers’ victory and explained that each would lead a team in the coming battle of slaughter. The chapter ended as the contestants prepared to choose which sword-seizer to follow.
Yao Yuzhi made Sikong Jing’s unchosen team members follow him and explained the advantages and dangers facing sword contenders in the quota battle. As the contenders chose their teams, Sikong Jing realized Ju Hua had selected Nu Guang as a disposable victim, while Wang He planned to kill rival contenders and take their teams.
The nine squads were formed for the battle in Bright Dragon Tyrant Heaven Valley, leaving Sikong Jing and Chou Zhan surrounded by Western Lands rivals intent on taking their swords. After the contestants were scattered across the valley, Sikong Jing arrived alone near a waterfall and sensed powerful monsters nearby.
Sikong Jing cultivated beneath a waterfall, using half of the Moon Swallowing Beast’s inner core to prepare to reach the Golden Body Realm and saving the other half for Gongyang Ying. He stopped when two teammates arrived and watched a Southern Lands genius fight a Western Lands genius, until a second Western Lands attacker appeared behind the Southern fighter.
Sikong Jing secretly killed one of the two Western Lands geniuses who were attacking Nan Xiu, then emerged from the waterfall and confronted the remaining prodigy. He offered the battered Nan Xiu a chance to join forces, leaving the fight poised to continue.
Sikong Jing faced a Western Lands genius alone after Nan Xiu refused to ally with him, then swiftly defeated and killed his opponent. His display stunned everyone aboard the Divine Shuttle Ship and left Ju Dan furious.
Yao Yuzhi’s patrol found Chou Zhan and Gongyang Ying hiding in a thorn patch, and Ju Dan’s side launched an ambush against them. Chou Zhan fought back against three opponents while Gongyang Ying drew another pursuer away, and Yao Yuzhi silently recognized that Chou Zhan would survive.
