Lin Langtian was the foremost genius of the Lin Clan Main Family, born with access to its resources and revered by many clan disciples as an invincible figure among the younger generation. He held authority over the clan's law-enforcement team and regarded branch-family disciples as beneath him. 157 228

Before the main conflict, he injured Lin Dong's father, Lin Xiao, nearly crippling him. This act became a core source of Lin Dong's hatred toward him. 225

At the Ancient Tomb Mansion, Lin Langtian confronted Lin Dong over the Nirvana Heart and used his aura to force him toward his knees. Lin Yan intervened, repelled him with the Flame Splitting Wave Ruler, and drew his lasting hostility. 156 157 Lin Langtian then attempted to kill Lin Yan with the Main Family's Great Sky Phoenix Seal, but Ling Qingzhu blocked the attack and warned that anyone targeting Lin Yan would become her enemy. 158
