"Should we make a move?"
Zhu Zhuqing's fingertips extended sharp claws, their cold gleam flashing through the dusk.
"What's the rush?"
Shen Lian shook his head, pulling her into the shadows at the street corner before continuing:
"Isn't it rather amusing to watch them struggle?"
Ning Rongrong covered her mouth and snickered, then said to Zhu Zhuqing and Shen Lian:
"We didn't find anyone from Spirit Hall, but we ran into them instead. Their luck is truly terrible."
Shen Lian glanced toward the Blacksmith Shop, a cold sneer tugging at his lips.
The people from the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Sect had presumably returned to their sect long ago. Only this group from the Clear Sky Sect had to evade Spirit Hall's pursuers while tending to the heavily injured Tang Xiao, leaving them no choice but to cling to life in a remote little town like this.
They probably thought that if they endured the night, they could return safely to the Clear Sky Sect. They had not expected to run into a "harbinger of disaster" like him.
Inside the side room, Tang San tied the final loop of bandage and said quietly to Tang Xiao:
"Uncle, we'll set out first thing tomorrow morning. We should be able to avoid Spirit Hall's patrols."
Tang Xiao coughed up a mouthful of bloody phlegm, waved his hand, and said to Tang San:
"It's nothing... I've only wronged you. We should have returned to the sect in glory, yet we're forced to be so miserable."
"You're joking, Uncle."
The stubbornness unique to youth tinged Tang San's voice as he continued:
"Bringing back the championship and obtaining three Spirit Bones is the best explanation we can give the sect."
As Tang San spoke, his gaze inadvertently swept past the window. The roots of the
