The stretch ends with Yu Xiaogang trying to use his Spirit Hall status to stop Zhao from enforcing his bet with Tang San.

• Zhao Linchuan chose to become Tang San’s enemy, awakened the faint-light Martial Soul Puni, and challenged Yu Xiaogang’s theories until Yu Xiaogang sent him away.
• Zhao Linchuan killed Tang Hao with the Sword God Solderos Experience Card, took his Soul Bones, and later claimed the Ice and Fire Dragon Kings’ divine bones.
• Zhao Linchuan defeated Xiao Wu and Tang San at Notting Academy, then summoned Yan Fei and Yue Shen and awakened their powerful Martial Souls.

He traded Tang San’s Eight Spider Lances for a torso Soul Bone before returning to his residence, where Yue Shen and Yan Fei competed to serve him.

• Zhao Linchuan defeated Dai Mubai at the Rose Hotel, and Yue Shen later removed her Loyalty control module and confirmed that she still loved him.
• Zhao Linchuan disrupted Shrek Academy’s admissions, made Li Yusong return a family’s fee, and recruited Zhu Zhuqing after she explained her clan’s deadly succession pact.
• At the supply-town hotel, Zhu Zhuqing wounded Oscar and Ma Hongjun, and Xiao Wu knocked Dai Mubai unconscious after he insulted her.
• Zhao Linchuan ordered Jin Da to bind and strip Zhao Wuji, Tang San, Dai Mubai, Oscar, and Ma Hongjun, then made them run naked around a tree until dawn.

After refusing their visits, he killed Xue Beng when the prince demanded Yan Lingji, leaving Prince Xue Xing to blame Shrek Academy for the death.

• Zhao Linchuan renamed Yan Fei’s Ten-Perfection Pill the Heaven-Deficiency Spirit-Replenishing Pill, gave one to Xiao Wu, and later reconciled Yan Fei and Yue Shen before summoning Yan Lingji.
• Tang San regrouped with Dai Mubai, Oscar, and Ma Hongjun, learned from Yu Xiaogang that Tang Hao was his father, and began planning to pursue the Immortal Herbs at the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well.

The arc ended with Zhao Linchuan uncovering Qian Renxue’s disguise and deciding how to handle Tang San’s group’s request for Immortal Herbs.
