The wind seemed to stop flowing. All sound seemed to vanish, leaving only the frantic pounding of hearts inside people's chests.

Morale soared to its peak in that instant.
The soldiers excitedly pumped their fists, then laughed as they fired wildly at the Abyss Beasts in front of them. Some even ignored military regulations, standing up from behind the sandbag walls and holding down their triggers as they unleashed a furious barrage.
However, unlike the excited troops, Lin Yi, at the heart of the storm, wasn't very satisfied.
