Two minutes later, a streamlined, silver-gray shuttle glided to a silent stop.

Lin Yi boarded the shuttle, the cabin door closed, and the soft interior lighting flickered to life.

The shuttle sped along the familiar route and soon arrived at the core area.

Lin Yi stepped off the shuttle and walked toward the vortex alone. A moment later, the familiar suction force took hold, and pure white light flooded his vision.

After a brief sensation of weightlessness, he entered the eternal, pure white space once again.
