Background / History

Lin Yi retained memories of a previous life in which he struggled through Blue Star's apocalypse, eventually obtained a Level 4 personal rating, and left the planet. In the new timeline, he chose to use that knowledge to construct a believable “local genius” persona rather than reveal his foreknowledge outright 3.

Before the New Era began, he identified a miniature Abyss Beast nest near Hongfu Restaurant as a controlled opening for his rise. He arranged to receive a Dark Great Sage-inspired titanium-alloy armor and staff from Chen Yu, practiced basic staff forms in secret, and deliberately made his preparation appear like an ordinary teenager's cosplay hobby 5 6 9.

Once the disaster began, Lin Yi used his preparation to protect nearby civilians and establish contact with the authorities.
