"Cough, cough. It's not like the Avengers Alliance had anyone else they could invite."
Tony could not help coughing twice as he spoke.
Not to mention the current Avengers Alliance—even in the future Avengers Alliance, Thor was the only one capable of dealing with a Skyfather-level opponent, perhaps with Scarlet Witch and Captain Marvel added to the list. But neither of them was in the Avengers Alliance now.
Even Thor was merely a God of Hammers who had yet to truly realize where his power lay. Tony really had no one else he could invite.
Could he possibly count on Captain America going Five-Five Open against Dormammu?
Besides, Odin was still alive. He could not possibly watch Thor go to his death, so he would definitely be keeping a close eye on things. That also ensured they would have a backup plan if they proved no match for Dormammu.
It might have been an unnecessary precaution, but if something could be obtained for free, would it not be a shame not to take advantage of it?
However Thor explained himself, everyone still looked at him with the same disdain.
Boom!
At that moment, a thunderous sound erupted from the sky. Accompanied by a dazzling streak of light, Thor's figure emerged from within it.
"Yo, Tony."
"I came as promised."
After descending upon Kamar-Taj, Thor laughed and gave Tony a hug. Then, just as he was about to greet the others, he saw a familiar figure.
"Loki? Why are you here?"
"And why did you change clothes? Where's that cockroach outfit?"
Thor looked at the extravagantly dressed Loki with complete confusion.
Tony knew his brother too?
And he had clearly only just seen Loki. He had not seen him enter the Bifrost either, so how had Loki appeared here before him?
