Background / History

Loki entered the Chat Group convinced that he was Odin’s son and offended by the fan nickname “Third Princess.” After viewing the group’s Marvel memory copies, he learned that he was Laufey’s hidden Frost Giant son, taken from Jotunheim and raised by Odin. The revelation destabilized his sense of identity and sharpened his resentment over Odin’s preference for Thor. 337 338

Despite the circumstances of his adoption, Loki still considered Odin his father. While Odin slept, Loki temporarily pawned him through the Chat Group, insisting that the move kept Odin safe and that he would redeem him later. He then emptied Odin’s Vault—renaming it Loki’s Vault—to fund the 50-million-Point Odin Bloodline. 345 348 351

After fusing the bloodline, Loki declared himself King of Asgard. He used Gungnir, his new authority, and elaborate deceptions to confront Laufey and the Frost Giants, only to discover Hela’s influence behind the conflict. He subsequently faced the larger threats surrounding Asgard, including Hela, Surtur, and Malekith. 351 360 373 378 578

His later bloodline enhancement greatly increased his connection to Asgard and Jotunheim, but caused an Odin Sleep that sealed most of his power. The resulting vulnerability triggered a rescue crisis involving Hela, Surtur, Dark Elves, and other threats. 554 555 557

Over time, Loki shifted from relying on inherited artifacts and uncertain enhancement luck to using the Enlightenment Function and his own resources for stable growth. As God King, Loki led Asgard against a parallel-universe Thanos. Though he was temporarily incapacitated by Thanos, he survived, resumed command after the battle, and used the Reality Stone with Asgard’s power and his Authority to restore the fallen Asgardian warriors. 1992 2002 2004

Following Asgard’s overall enhancement, Loki concluded that being king meant building a future for a civilization rather than simply possessing personal power. Personality

Loki is proud, theatrical, competitive, and extremely sensitive to disrespect. He frequently frames his actions as righteous or necessary even when they involve deception, pawning Odin, or selling Asgardian treasures. His rivalry with Thor remains a major motivator; lifting Mjolnir in front of Thor brought him particular satisfaction. 345 359 360

His arrogance is paired with genuine attachment to Asgard, Odin, and Thor. Although he initially sought the throne to prove himself superior to Thor and win Odin’s recognition, he repeatedly chose not to abandon Asgard during wartime and ultimately accepted the responsibility of protecting its people. 363 578 1992 2008
