After winning a public alchemy contest and studying the Star Spirit Pill formula, he faced a pill tribulation that pushed him toward Dou Zong.

• Xiao Qing destroyed Demon Flame Valley, captured its treasures and knowledge, and forged Silver Puppet and Gold Puppet from its enemies.
• Xiao Qing rescued Yin Li and the other Sound Valley disciples, then reached Star Fall Pavilion and refined pills while preparing to restore Venerable Skyfire and Yao Chen.
• Xiao Qing revived Venerable Skyfire and Yao Chen, who emerged as a Dou Saint, and accepted an invitation to attend the Pill Tower’s Alchemist Exchange Conference.
• Xiao Qing arrived in Saint Pill City with Old Yao and Zi Yan, identified Earth Core Jade Marrow at a market, and repelled Qiu Yan when he tried to take it.
• At the Exchange Meeting, Xiao Qing accepted Qiu Chen’s challenge and defeated him in an alchemy contest, winning the Qiu Family’s Yin-Yang Life Soul Pill formula.
• Xuan Kongzi and Old Yao arranged for Xiao Qing to study the Pill Tower’s Library Pavilion, where he derived the missing step in the Star Spirit Pill formula and began refining it.
• Xiao Qing completed the Five-Colored Star Spirit Pill, devoured its Pill Lightning, and drew in vast energy as he broke through toward Dou Zong.

Xiao Qing refined the Three Thousand Burning Flame, returned to Wutan City to help his friends and family, and learned of a Soul Hall branch in the Black-Corner Region. After Queen Medusa emerged from seclusion and honored her agreement with him, they attacked the branch together.

• Xiao Qing broke through to Dou Zong and perfected his body tempering, then entered the Star Domain with Old Yao’s soul avatar to subdue the Three Thousand Burning Flame.
• Mu Gu and Venerable Li ambushed Xiao Qing, but he killed them while the Soul Hall attacked Saint Pill City and Old Yao drove off the Great Heavenly Venerable.
• After refining the Three Thousand Burning Flame, Xiao Qing emerged at Nine-Star Dou Zong and returned to the Star Fall Pavilion, where he began developing a cultivation method based on fusion and transformation.
• Xiao Qing returned to Wutan City and merged Xiao Yi Xian’s Woe Poison Force with the Nether Poison Flame, stabilizing her condition and raising her to Two-Star Dou Emperor.
• Xiao Qing guided Gu Xun'er, Qing Lin, Xiao Yi Xian, and the Xiao Family, then learned from Hai Bodong and Yun Yun that Soul Hall forces were active in the Black-Corner Region.
• Queen Medusa emerged from her inheritance, returned to the Snake-People Tribe, and traveled to honor her agreement with Xiao Qing.

Xiao Qing subdued the Eight Desolations Destruction Flame, grew stronger through the Pill Tower’s inheritance, and helped unite several factions against the Soul Hall. The arc ended with Zi Yan under Heiqing’s protection at Star Fall Pavilion and Xiao Qing and Old Yao preparing to destroy the Cloud Rain Sect.

• Xiao Qing defeated Venerable Dragon Elephant, subdued the Eight Desolations Destruction Flame, and earned Burning Flame Valley’s support after Fire Cloud Ancestor recognized his Xiao Clan bloodline.
• Xiao Qing refined the flame, reached Nine-Star Dou Zun, and accepted the Three Mysterious Changes of Heavenly Fire from Fire Cloud Ancestor and Tang Zhen.
• Xiao Qing grew closer to Qing Xuan while Zi Yan repeatedly interrupted their time together, then traveled with Old Yao to the Pill Tower to pursue its alchemy inheritance.
• Xiao Qing passed First Elder Lin’s soul-pressure test, absorbed the Pill Heart Realm’s inheritances, and reached the Early Heaven Realm with Ancestor Danyang’s guidance.
• Fire Cloud Ancestor exposed the Soul Hall’s attacks by destroying one of its branches, and Xiao Qing, Old Yao, and their allies formed the Heavenly Court with support from several factions.
• Xiao Qing emerged from seclusion with Heaven Realm soul power, accepted Cao Ying as his disciple, and brought her to Star Fall Pavilion, where Qing Xuan welcomed her.
• Heiqing killed Elder Wang after he threatened Qing Xuan, recognized Zi Yan as the Dragon Emperor, and agreed to protect her while teaching her the clan’s inheritance.
• After Heiqing explained the danger posed by the divided Dragon Clan, Qing Xuan recounted Elder Wang’s attack, and Xiao Qing and Old Yao decided to wipe out the Cloud Rain Sect.

Xiao Qing strengthened the Heavenly Court by gaining new allies and restoring ancient sources of life, while the Soul Hall’s threat grew. He helped Gu Xun’er begin her clan inheritance and set Zi Yan on the path to becoming Dragon Emperor as he prepared for the coming conflict.

• Xiao Qing destroyed the Cloud Rain Sect, then revived the Nirvana Tree and fused the Flame of Life with his other Heavenly Flames.
• Xiao Qing healed Hua Yu, defeated Qiu She and the Evil Monarch of the Demon Flower, and brought the Xiao Family from Wutan City to the Star Realm.
• Xiao Qing gave Cao Ying a Sub-Flame of Life and Creation, while Gu Xun’er and Qing Xuan gradually reached a cautious peace.
• Xiao Qing and Qing Xuan restored the Bodhi Ancient Tree, advanced their cultivation through its Wisdom Space, and received seeds and a Seed of Life to use in reviving the Ancient Tree of Life.
• As reports spread that the Heavenly Underworld Sect had harvested over a million souls, Xiao Qing rallied allies while Gu Yuan took Gu Xun’er to the Ancient Clan for her inheritance.
