Why cultivate this way? As already said, one had to advance step by step.
There were five levels of life, from lowest to highest: Acquired Living Beings, Innate Living Beings, Innate True Spirits, Innate Gods and Devils, and Innate Divine Beings.
Their respective potential corresponded to the five realms of Void Refining, Heavenly Immortal, Primordial Unity Golden Immortal, Daluo Golden Immortal, and Quasi-Saint.
Cultivating the Creation Scripture meant transforming in this order, one step at a time.
At the first step, while in the Void Refinement Realm, one condensed nine avatars of Acquired Living Beings and fused them into one. That way, when breaking through, one could also reverse the acquired and become innate, transforming from an Acquired Living Being into an Innate Living Being.
Wasn't a transformation in one's level of life the greatest act of creation?
That was the true essence of the Creation Scripture. An Innate Living Being transformed by this method would have a profound foundation and command the mysteries of creation.
It could be said that among Innate Living Beings, he would be strong enough to claim the Honored Rank.
In other words, at the Heavenly Immortal Realm, as long as he didn't encounter an Innate True Spirit, an Innate God and Devil, or an Innate Divine Being of the same level, he would be invincible.

Likewise, an Innate True Spirit transformed by this method would be invincible among those of the same level. As long as he didn't encounter an Innate God and Devil or an Innate Divine Being in the same realm, who could possibly be his opponent?
At the third step, while in the Primordial Unity Golden Immortal Realm, he would condense one hundred and eight Innate True Spirits and break through into the Creation Daluo Realm.
If he succeeded, his level of life would transform from an Innate True Spirit into an Innate God and Devil, granting him dominion among all Innate Gods and Devils.
At the fourth step, while in the Daluo Realm, he would condense three hundred and sixty avatars of Innate Gods and Devils and break through into the Creation Quasi-Saint Realm.
If he succeeded, his level of life would continue to transform, from an Innate God and Devil into an Innate Divine Being, and he would retain that same dominion.
The fifth and final step was to condense avatars of Innate Divine Beings and break through into the Hunyuan Realm. This time, the transformation would be into the legendary and most perfect life form: the Chaos Demon God.
These five steps were the proper way to cultivate the Creation Scripture: advancing gradually, from easy to difficult, with a new threshold at each realm and one level of life following another in transformation.
But what about Jiang Yuan? Knowing he had a cheat, he hadn't even glanced at the first three steps. He'd started cultivating at the fourth, condensing avatars of Innate Gods and Devils right from the outset.
That alone would have been bad enough. But after reaching the Creation Heavenly Immortal Realm, he still wasn't satisfied with the fourth step. He decided to begin straight from the last step—the fifth—and condense avatars of Innate Divine Beings.
His approach had sent the difficulty soaring. But the rewards were immense, too. Under the ordinary method of cultivating the Creation Scripture, one could only transform into an Innate True Spirit when breaking through into the Creation Taiyi Realm.
But Jiang Yuan was different. He was using the combined power of thirty-six Innate Divine Being avatars to break through into the Creation Taiyi Realm.
