Origin and Cosmology

The Primordial World was opened by the Great God Pangu. When Pangu fell after creating heaven and earth, his body transformed into all things, while his primordial qi became three thousand wisps of the Qi of the Supreme Divine and Holy. These wisps became the origin of many Innate Divine Beings; 360 were assimilated by the newborn starry sky and became its primary stars. 97

Chaos Demon Gods attempted to prevent Pangu from opening the world. Their remaining pressure forced them into deep slumber, leaving them unable to consciously scheme against the world for long periods. 102

Unlike eternal chaos, the Primordial World has a lifespan and suffers recurring tribulations. Its capacity for change and development is presented as the source of its greater potential. 102

Immortal Dao

The Immortal Dao changed cultivation by allowing beings to transform bloodline vitality into primordial qi and cultivation methods. This weakened the monopoly that powerful clans held through superior bloodlines and made advancement more broadly accessible. 9 10

The Primordial World is vast enough that travel itself is a severe threat. A Heavenly Immortal can generally travel within a million miles, a Primordial Unity Golden Immortal is needed for distances beyond ten million miles, and only a Zenith Heaven Golden Immortal can reliably traverse the world. 60

Although rich in resources and spiritual energy, the world’s incomplete laws produce frequent disasters. Innate cold winds can destroy beings below Void Refining, while Chaos Storms, Primordial Magnetic Tides, volcanic eruptions, and starfalls may endanger Zenith Heaven Golden Immortals. 16

Inhabitants and Factions

• Ten Thousand Races — The collective multitude of races inhabiting the Primordial World. Their separation by distance produces major differences in cultures, cultivation methods, and divine abilities. 17 62

Order, Trade, and Communication

The Primordial World is historically dominated by the law of the jungle: murder for treasures, theft of opportunities, and robbery during travel are common dangers. This makes secure locations for inter-racial trade exceptionally valuable. 17

The Human Race’s protected homeland becomes a potential trade hub because races can exchange resources there without fearing open violence. Taxes on this commerce are intended to support human development. 17

Teleportation Arrays are proposed as a long-term answer to the world’s dangerous distances. Short-distance arrays centered on the Human Race could eventually expand into a world-spanning network of routes and exchange points. 60 62

The Wu and Demon races later establish and enforce broader order, forbidding conflict throughout heaven and earth. Their enforcement of these rules grants their leading figures major benefits in cultivation and fortune, despite widespread resentment from other factions. 178 179
