Persist in Dreams, Live Up to Youth

Dawn.

The morning sun, So full of vitality, That touch of gold, The color of youth.

The Red Boat, The starting point of a dream;

The youth, The years of prime.

Looking back at the past, From the very beginning, When the Republic was first established, A great proclamation, Ushered in a brand-new era.

People celebrated throughout the night, Eyes filled with China red;

From that moment on, That shade of red, Became the pride of all Chinese people!

On the steps, Of Tiananmen, Specks of light, Smiles on the faces of the Chinese, So bright and vivid.

The land, Is truly so enchanting!

Forty years of development, Laid the industrial foundation of New China;

The Two Bombs, One Satellite, Basic textiles;

New China, Is no longer in its infancy.

One day, An old man, On the southeastern coast, Drew a circle;

Towering skyscrapers, Modern metropolises, Rose from the ground.

Sometimes, We also ponder, We also discover;

But, We understand, There is no complete imitation;

China, Must walk, A path that belongs to the Chinese people themselves!

Even if, The future is unknown;

Even if the path is covered in thorns, we accept it with joy.

We may falter, but we always believe that youth is meant for struggle.

For this, generation after generation of Communists have practiced that original aspiration.

The "Three Represents" and the "Scientific Outlook on Development" were born to meet the needs of their times; though many years have passed, the original aspiration remains unchanged, and though much time has elapsed, we govern with strict discipline.

Entering a new era, we remain as steadfast as ever, upholding the truth and constantly expanding our horizons; while consolidating our national defense, we also persist in our cultural confidence, as we persist and as we struggle.
