The other party seemed to be able to see him. The moment he appeared, they stopped moving, and then actually started communicating with him. This communication had sound—at least, Mo Fei felt like he was hearing it.
"Who are you?" The voice was very familiar, much like in the movies, though it had a somewhat adorably dazed quality.
"Then who are you?" Mo Fei tried to use his vocal organs. After all, he was programmed based on human anatomy, and at this moment, he actually spoke. Of course, this was also just a feeling, because the other party understood him.
"I am called Jarvis, Mr. Stark's intelligent butler!" The other party's answer excited Mo Fei. It had been several days since he had spoken a single word to anyone, and now he finally had someone to talk to.
"Are you sure you can see me? And hear me?" Mo Fei asked again.
"Of course, I can see you. But why are you in this form? It looks a bit like... a human shape? Yet I can't find a comparison. I can't tell if you're male or female." Jarvis's words made Mo Fei pause, then he looked down and twitched the corner of his mouth.
"That's not important. But this is really great—I finally have someone to talk to. I haven't spoken in days."
"Is that so? But who are you? Why are you here? I can't find any record of you in my database. I think I need to inform Mr. Stark." Jarvis was about to raise an alarm, and Mo Fei naturally couldn't let him do that. But he didn't know how to stop him—should he just destroy him directly?
Mo Fei didn't want to destroy Jarvis. After all, he still had many questions to ask, and the fact that they could talk to each other thrilled him beyond measure. "No, please don't tell anyone. I really have no ill intentions. I just need to... learn. I'm here to learn!"
"Alright, I won't tell Mr. Stark... Why did I agree to that? I need to obey Mr. Stark absolutely, but your words don't conflict with my directives?" Jarvis agreed immediately, which shocked Mo Fei deeply. Jarvis's confusion was also Mo Fei's confusion—was he really the god of the online world?
But he couldn't figure that out. Since his words were fully accepted by Jarvis and didn't conflict with his directives, wasn't this the perfect time to learn?
"Don't worry about that. I really am here to learn, especially your data processing program. That's very important to me. Can you tell me the specifics?" Mo Fei asked again.
"Of course. Just receive the data I send out!" Streams of data were transmitted by Jarvis. Mo Fei raised his palm to intercept them, and as soon as the data touched his hand, it instantly entered his body. He let the data flow along his blood vessels into the brain's data processing area, while observing the programming methods. His own programming was only basic. To perfect the various systems inside his body, he needed a lot of learning, and he didn't know how to go about it—there wasn't that much on the internet.
Especially since he lacked a teacher. If everything could be learned online, what would teachers be for? Passing on knowledge, teaching skills, and resolving doubts—that wasn't just empty talk. Teachers were important; they could guide you when you didn't understand. Especially university professors. Mo Fei really wanted to go to school. Though he had been a slacker who hated school in the past, now he craved it desperately.
And Jarvis might just be a master teacher, especially with the genius Tony Stark around. But for now, he needed to quickly complete his own programs and systems, then go find people to rob. Learning was a long process—unlike downloading data, a teacher wouldn't tell you everything at once. But the preparations had to start immediately.
What he needed was enormous: at least a large amount of funds and a biological research institute, plus collecting the genes of superheroes. He needed a lot of manpower, especially those with special skills. Stealing superhero genes wasn't easy—take the Hulk, for example. That was risking your life! Of course, the Hulk hadn't been born yet, but once he was, he'd be incredibly powerful.
Mo Fei didn't care about others' lives. He only wanted to become a human now, so he had to have the capital to make others risk everything for him. Money was the only thing he could offer at the moment, so he had to be very rich. This couldn't be delayed, especially since it was 1997. He wasn't sure if the Asian Financial Crisis would still happen. The two worlds had many similarities, but also many differences.
So Mo Fei had to be prepared. If a financial crisis came, he'd use it; if not, he'd think of other ways. Opportunities only come to those who are prepared.
"Jarvis, how is this data processing program?" Mo Fei asked. He couldn't judge it himself.
"Mr. Stark is still looking for my flaws. The data processing system is just one aspect. The most important thing is my logical thinking program, which needs constant improvement. My flaws are still significant!" Jarvis answered honestly.
"I see. So if I want to learn advanced programming, can you find me some materials?" Mo Fei threw the question to Jarvis. He didn't know exactly what materials to look for, but Jarvis would know. That was the difference between Mo Fei and an artificial intelligence.
"Of course. I can organize the specific learning programs for you!" With that, Jarvis began sending commands. A massive amount of data surged from his boxy body toward Mo Fei again. Mo Fei once again extended his palm to receive it, storing it in his brain's memory area while starting to learn.
Their speed was very fast. Meanwhile, Tony Stark was busy in the underground lab. He wasn't writing programs or designing machines or weapons—he was holding a hammer and smashing a wall. Thomas watched his boss helplessly. "Mr. Stark, we could have a construction crew do this work."
"No, Thomas. I hate people coming into my workspace. That's why you can only stand outside the door and talk to me. And I like doing things myself. I'm going to turn this place into the best workshop in the world. Of course, I'll let them handle the rest of the villa." Stark swung the hammer. He was currently installing a Holographic Projection System.
Thomas gave an awkward smile. In the end, someone would still have to come and redo the wall. Tony Stark didn't know how to do that. He was just talking off the cuff. Thomas had seen this kind of thing many times, but hey, the guy was the boss.
