Sun Wukong, Can You Keep Up With My Speed?

"Smack!"

Sun Wukong raised an arm to catch Frieza's incoming fist, then drove his knee up hard toward Frieza's abdomen.

Frieza reacted just as quickly. He darted to the side and dodged Sun Wukong's attack.

Then Frieza kicked out.

Sun Wukong leaped backward to evade the kick, then immediately shot into the sky, soaring high above.

The corners of Frieza's mouth lifted, and his eyes glinted.

"Whoosh! Whoosh!"

Two fiery red streaks shot toward Sun Wukong in the sky at incredible speed.

"Whoosh!"

Sun Wukong vanished in a flash and reappeared behind Frieza, delivering a heavy blow to his back.

"Urgh..."

Frieza immediately spat out a large mouthful of stomach acid. He felt absolutely awful.

The next moment, Frieza flew into a rage and spun around with a side kick.

Sun Wukong dodged with a flash.

Frieza charged at him, clawing and snarling as he unleashed a flurry of punches and kicks.

Sun Wukong used his arms to block every one of Frieza's attacks.

"Ho ho ho ho! Sun Wukong, can you keep up with my speed?" Frieza cackled again and again, suddenly accelerating his attacks.

"Thump!"

Sun Wukong's pupils contracted slightly. He suddenly threw an uppercut and landed a direct hit to Frieza's abdomen.

"Urgh..."

Frieza spat out another large mouthful of stomach acid. The veins in his forehead bulged, and his face went pale. He could barely react.

Am I seeing things?

How did Sun Wukong get so strong?

And he hasn't even turned into a Super Saiyan yet!

"Arrrgh!"

Frieza roared and suddenly thrust out a hand, unleashing a blast of energy.

Sun Wukong vanished in a flash.

Frieza's energy blast instantly blew one corner of Namek flat.

It was as if a small knife had sliced a chunk off the entire planet.

The many Namekians on Namek stared blankly at the astonishing sight, sweat streaming down their faces.

Thank goodness we evacuated early.

At this rate, Namek is bound to be destroyed sooner or later.

"Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!"

Just as everyone was looking toward the crystal ball, seven glittering Dragon Balls suddenly fell from the sky and landed near Krillin and the others.

Krillin and the others turned to look, their faces showing surprise.

"Are those Namek's Dragon Balls? They're huge—way bigger than Earth's!" Krillin exclaimed.

"Yeah! Amazing!" Yamcha nodded.

"Namek's Dragon Balls... These are the real Dragon Balls?" Tien Shinhan marveled.

"Wonderful. Namek's Dragon Balls came with us, too." A pleased smile appeared on the Grand Elder's face. He then turned his gaze to Moori.

"Grand Elder!" Moori straightened and immediately bowed.

"I know my life is nearly at its end. I have no more than seven days left." The Grand Elder sighed softly, though he showed little regret. He smiled and said, "After I die, you will become Namek's Grand Elder!"

"Yes, Grand Elder." Moori bowed again.

The Namekians present also observed a few moments of silence for the Grand Elder.

Krillin and the others were at a loss for words.

He's not going to die for another seven days, is he?

Isn't it a little early to hold a memorial?

"Come on, Dad!" Son Gohan clenched his fists tightly as he stood beside the crystal ball, his face tense.

Sun Wukong and Frieza's battle continued.

Seeing Frieza unleash enough energy to destroy a chunk of the planet, Sun Wukong took a deep breath.

Sun Wukong vanished in a flash and reappeared behind Frieza at incredible speed. He kicked Frieza hard in the head.

Frieza cried out in pain, pitched forward, and slammed headfirst into a rock.

"Rumble!"

Frieza's body kept sliding forward, rolling from one small island to another and kicking up clouds of dust.

But a moment later, Frieza stood up from the rubble as if nothing had happened and shook his head.

Sun Wukong looked at Frieza intently, feeling more and more impressed by his strength.

"I never would have expected this, Sun Wukong!" Frieza was also deeply shocked. He squinted up at Sun Wukong in the sky. "Something special must have happened to you. Otherwise, you couldn't have gotten this strong!"

"You're right!" Sun Wukong nodded.

"Very well. Now, let me show you this!" Frieza said, sweeping both hands lightly toward the rocks nearby.

The rocks scattered across the ground immediately rose into the air under Frieza's control.

Frieza suddenly thrust his hands forward.

The rocks he controlled shot toward Sun Wukong at incredible speed.

Sun Wukong: "..."

This move again!

Sun Wukong punched and kicked the incoming rocks, easily smashing them into pieces.

"I've got you!" Frieza suddenly appeared behind Sun Wukong, grinning more brightly than ever.

"Behind me!" Sun Wukong had already sensed Frieza's energy. He launched a dazzling flying kick, striking Frieza directly in the chin.

"Argh..."

Frieza's jaw felt as if it were about to dislocate, and he howled in pain.

"Haha, Frieza, I can sense your energy now. That trick won't work on me!" Sun Wukong grinned, clenched his fists, and landed a heavy blow on Frieza.

"Rumble!"

Frieza's body slammed into the ground below like a nuclear bomb, setting off a massive explosion.

Vast energy spread outward from where Frieza landed. The shock waves kept expanding, raising a gigantic mushroom cloud.

Piccolo was stunned.

Maybe I should move farther away...

Those two are both monsters!

And the Grand Elder of Namek said that if I and that old Guardian fused again, I'd be able to defeat Frieza.

"Ahem... I take back what I said earlier." The Grand Elder's mouth twitched. He gave an awkward smile and spoke up.

The Namekians present, along with Krillin and the others, immediately turned to look at the Grand Elder. They were a little confused and had no idea what he meant.

"I told Katas's child that if he fused with Earth's Guardian, he would be able to defeat Frieza." The Grand Elder sighed helplessly and said gravely, "It seems I underestimated Frieza's true strength!"
