"Chi-Chi, I'm home." Sun Wukong waved with a smile.
"Eh? Mom?" Sun Gohan looked at his mother, dazed and unable to process the situation.
"Goku? Gohan? It really is you!" Chi-Chi's eyes reddened, and she could barely hold back her tears.
Immediately after, Chi-Chi rushed forward and pulled her son, Sun Gohan, into a tight embrace.
"I'm so sorry, Chi-Chi. Because of me, you and Gohan have been separated for so long." Sun Wukong scratched his head apologetically.
"Goku... sob, sob, sob..." Chi-Chi buried herself in Sun Wukong's chest, weeping uncontrollably as she choked back sobs.
"Chi-Chi, I've brought Gohan back. Didn't you want him to become a great scholar?" Sun Wukong comforted her with a smile. "As for the fighting, leave that to me from now on!"
"Eh? You've been resurrected? Goku!" Chi-Chi finally snapped out of it, wiping the tears from her eyes as she asked in disbelief.
"That's right. Master Roshi and the others gathered the Dragon Balls and brought me back." Sun Wukong nodded.
"Does that mean the Saiyans are coming soon?" Chi-Chi asked, looking nervous.
"They'll be here tomorrow." Sun Wukong tapped his forehead lightly.
"Tomorrow?" Chi-Chi was startled. "So soon? Are you sure you can handle it, Goku?"
"Don't worry, I've finished my training. There won't be any problems." Sun Wukong patted his chest, laughed, and then rubbed his stomach.
"Grumble..."
Sun Wukong's stomach let out a loud, unruly growl.
"You must be hungry, Goku? I'll go make you something to eat right away," Chi-Chi said softly.
"Thank you, Chi-Chi... I'm really sorry for everything over these past few years." Sun Wukong looked at his wife with a sense of guilt.
"Eh? What are you saying, Goku!" Chi-Chi beamed, her face flushing as she whispered, "You have nothing to apologize for... I'm so happy to be with you, to be your wife! And now, we have Gohan."
"That's true, hahaha!" Sun Wukong laughed. "We'll have more children in the future..."
Chi-Chi's pretty face turned even redder.
A brief silence followed.
"Goku... don't say such things in front of the child..." Chi-Chi chided.
"Eh? Dad, Mom, am I going to have a little brother or sister?" Sun Gohan asked, brimming with excitement.
"Not yet..." Chi-Chi wiped sweat from her brow.
How could there be a little brother or sister right now?
It would take at least ten months, wouldn't it?
"But come to think of it... Gohan, you must have suffered a lot while you were with King Piccolo!" Chi-Chi said, gently rubbing Sun Gohan's cheeks. "Oh? You've grown quite a bit. You look much sturdier than before!"
"Mom, Uncle Piccolo was very good to me..." Sun Gohan replied hurriedly.
"Haha, actually, Piccolo is a pretty good guy," Sun Wukong said, scratching his head with a smile.
"Dad, Mom..." Sun Gohan gathered his courage, looked at his parents, and clenched his fists. "I want to fight too. I've trained for so long; I don't want to just give up now!"
"Gohan, what are you saying? You're only five years old! That's work for adults!" Chi-Chi panicked and tried to dissuade him.
"Gohan, don't you want to be a scholar anymore?" Sun Wukong asked, looking at his son with slight surprise.
He asked this because, in the future, Sun Gohan had indeed become a great scholar.
His dream had already been realized.
Furthermore, Gohan didn't really fight much in the future.
Every time he did, he was dragged into it against his will.
However, in this life, Sun Wukong had already decided to train hard, and since he could foresee the future, he didn't want his son to suffer.
"I do want to be a great scholar... but since I've trained with Uncle Piccolo for so long, I don't want to give up halfway!" Sun Gohan's expression was firm, his youthful face filled with determination.
Sun Wukong looked at his son with doting eyes, knowing Gohan would say that.
Although his son sometimes seemed timid, he never chose to run away.
Chi-Chi looked at her son in surprise, feeling as though she didn't recognize him anymore.
"Gohan... did King Piccolo lead you astray?" Chi-Chi's mouth twitched as she offered a forced smile.
"Since Gohan wants to fight, why don't you come with me tomorrow, Dad? You can step in if it becomes necessary, how about that?" Sun Wukong smiled and ruffled Gohan's hair.
"Goku!" Chi-Chi was clearly unhappy.
"Don't worry, Chi-Chi, it'll be fine," Sun Wukong said with a smile. "I doubt Gohan will even need to step in."
"Fine, do whatever you want. I'm going to cook." Chi-Chi took a deep breath and turned to get to work.
The next morning, at 11:43 AM.
The spaceships of Vegeta and Nappa descended from the sky like two glowing fireballs, slamming into the streets of East City and causing the entire city to tremble violently.
In an instant, the sound of police sirens began to wail throughout the city.
"What happened? Something fell down!"
"You scared me to death! That was absolutely terrifying!"
"It's a round object, and there's another one over there too!"
Many citizens crowded toward the edges of the craters, craning their necks to peer at the spaceships inside.
"Creak!"
The spaceship hatches opened.
Vegeta and Nappa stepped out from their respective ships.
"It's people! Someone came out!" a citizen shouted, their voice filled with shock.
The appearance of Vegeta and Nappa, along with the powerful aura erupting from their bodies, immediately caught the attention of Piccolo and the others.
"Dad!" Gohan looked nervous. "What a powerful ki!"
"Gohan, let's go," Sun Wukong said with a smile.
"Yes!" Gohan clenched his fists tightly, though cold sweat slid down his forehead; suddenly, he didn't want to go anymore.
"Be careful!" Chi-Chi said, filled with worry. "Maybe you shouldn't go, Gohan."
"No, Mom! I want to go!" Gohan replied stubbornly.
"Whoosh!"
Sun Wukong didn't hesitate any longer and immediately used Instant Transmission to take Gohan away, vanishing from the spot in the blink of an eye.
Chi-Chi was startled and looked everywhere for the figures of her husband and son, but where could she possibly find them now?
East City.
Vegeta and Nappa looked around, sizing up this unfamiliar planet.
"Who are they?"
"Are they aliens?"
"They don't really look like it!"
The citizens huddled together, whispering among themselves.
"So this is Earth... the environment is quite mediocre," Vegeta chuckled.
"Prince Vegeta, there's no need to greet these brats. Let me clean them up!" Nappa said, preparing to blow up the city.
"Whoosh!"
At that critical moment, Sun Wukong immediately used Instant Transmission to bring Gohan along, appearing directly in front of Vegeta and Nappa in the blink of an eye.
