Balthazar did not care whether the enemy was Naimus the Demon or Clement, the traitor to The Church.
Both were enemies of The Church, and it was practically certain that both were plotting against his soul.
He had long since lost the desire to live, but no matter what, he could not die before the Sin Soul had been safely dealt with!
This was the conviction he had upheld for so many years.

Though the massive warhammer looked enormous, it was exceptionally nimble in Balthazar's hands.
When he swung it, it did not whip up great gusts of air. Instead, it smashed toward Clement like a flame.
Naimus did not know, but Clement did.
This warhammer was called Flame of Purging Sin, a holy artifact of the Church of Guardianship. Though it was shaped like a warhammer and its actual weight was astonishingly great,

Watching the hammer draw nearer, Clement's expression shifted slightly. An imp drilled out of the soft earth and slammed headfirst into the hammer, knocking it off course.
Since he had learned Balthazar's information in advance, Clement
