Gender was a minor rule under the Rule of Life.
If there had been more than ninety-odd types of Divinity, and if the derivatives beyond a hundred had not been classified only as Mythical Breeds rather than Divinities, then perhaps there would have been a Divinity related to gender.
But now, there was only a Mythical Breed in the form of a hermaphroditic frog.
Under such circumstances, gender itself involved some mythic-level knowledge, but it did not reach the divine level.
After all, it was merely a branch rule subordinate to the Rule of Life.
However, when a change in gender appeared in the God of Precepts, it became very important.
This represented that the God of Precepts had once again completed a comprehensive "change" to himself. Through this change, his perception and understanding of change would become "keen" once more.
Furthermore, this also meant that the God of Precepts had found another new change.
If alternating between male and female could refresh one's sensitivity to change, then the God of Precepts would certainly have switched between man and woman constantly.

Without any renewal in ideology, changing gender would merely be changing gender.
Only when accompanied by an update in ideology, driving oneself into a new change, would switching gender hold any meaning.
