"Drip, drip..."
A dense curtain of rain shrouded the forest overhead.
In the middle of this open forest, Gin tilted his head, a trace of disappointment appearing on his face as he murmured softly.
"No way, I'd only just started getting interested..."
Though he said that, the corners of his lips remained slightly raised. He felt not the slightest regret for what he had just done.
As his words fell—
"Pfft!"
A large amount of blood suddenly spurted from Hidan's chest. He staggered half a step back, his body swaying slightly.
Gin boredly put away the Shinso in his hand, glanced at Hidan, and muttered to himself.
"That strike should have pierced your heart. Honestly, you're this weak? Then just fend for yourself here..."
With that, he slowly turned around and lightly shook his head, seeming bored by the fact that Akatsuki had someone so utterly fragile.
Just as he took a step—
"Hahaha!!"
Suddenly, an incomparably wild burst of laughter came from behind him!
Hearing it, Gin lightly furrowed his brows and turned his head in confusion, looking toward the source of the sound.
Hidan gripped a massive crimson scythe in one hand, his head lowered and his waist bent slightly forward, making his expression impossible to see.
Yet that grating laughter was indeed coming from his mouth.
Gin gave him an indifferent glance, the corner of his lips curling as he said frivolously.
"What is it? Are you so terrified of dying helplessly that you've had a mental breakdown?"
At Gin's words, Hidan slowly stopped laughing and gently raised his head.
When his face entered Gin's sight, Gin was briefly stunned. Then he narrowed his eyes and chuckled softly.
"What kind of ridiculous face paint is that? Forgive me for saying so, but you look like a caveman."
