After this battle, Dilos released the restraints on the others. The instant he did, Storm unleashed a full-force attack of miniature lightning bolts at him.
Dilos knew she was angry, so he didn't dodge and let the lightning strike him squarely.
Ororo's main abilities were controlling the wind, creating lightning, and manipulating the weather. The three worked together seamlessly. She could use wind and lightning to influence the weather, or manipulate it to create an EF5 tornado or devastating lightning bolts. She could also release miniature lightning from her hands to guide larger bolts from the sky toward any target she chose. With powers like hers, Storm's destructive potential rivaled that of a nuclear missile.
Ororo's miniature lightning was indeed powerful, but only against ordinary people and cannon-fodder Mutants. Against someone like Dilos, whose physical strength and durability were off the charts, it was far less effective. What's more, Dilos could control the static electricity in his own body, so he had some resistance to electrical attacks.
Still, that didn't stop him from looking a little worse for wear.

His body was also a little charred, his clothes were giving off wisps of smoke, and his slightly curled blond hair had turned into a bristling mass of straight golden spikes. The others couldn't help laughing.
"Don't be angry, Ororo."
Dilos caught a faint whiff of something burning and grimaced. He turned to Ororo, who was still scowling, and said helplessly, "You saw it yourself. If they'd really been in danger, I would've protected them."
"You should
