"We're moving?!"
Chloe, who had just learned all of Clark's alien secrets from him, was already in a somewhat heavy mood when Dilos picked her up and brought her home—only for him to drop this bombshell on her.
For a moment, Chloe found it hard to accept.
"Dilos, I know what happened today was scary, but you don't need to be so nervous that we have to move, do you?"
Chloe desperately did not want to move. Having lived here for over a decade, she had too many feelings tied to this small town. Moving meant she would not be able to return to this town that felt like home for a long time, and it meant being separated from the friends she had spent so much time with.
"I agree with Chloe. This was just an accident. There's no need to worry so much, right?"
Gabe, sitting in his chair, clearly did not want to leave the town either.
"This wasn't some accident."

As they listened to Dilos's account, the sheer amount of information left them shocked one moment and frightened the next. By the end, although their faces still bore traces of struggle and helplessness, Dilos's repeated reassurance gradually helped them adapt to and accept these facts. They also decided to move as he had suggested.
