Cheng Xiuge is the Chief Disciple of Second Peak and was publicly regarded as the Heavenly Blade Sect’s second-strongest chief disciple, beneath Wan Ling. He supports his cultivation through outside commissions and missions despite his status, unlike wealthier disciples such as Bai Zhao. 181

At Elder Ye’s meeting regarding the Moonlight Stone Marrow, Cheng volunteered for the Sinking Moon Valley expedition and was appointed its leader. He judged Li Chuan and Li Jingci as overly cautious for declining the contest, believing martial resources had to be fought for rather than avoided. 191

Sinking Moon Valley
