Background / History
Yu Jing is a senior disciple of the Heavenly Blade Sect's Four Peaks. Because her master, Zhao Ciyuan, rarely concerns himself with routine affairs, she receives new disciple Li Chuan and teaches him on her master’s behalf 100.
She introduces Li Chuan to the Heavenly River Blade Technique, demonstrating its dominance-oriented style and its five-word principle: “Rigid, Fierce, Unyielding, Pushing, Slashing.” She also explains the sect’s four internal arts and warns him not to overestimate his comprehension before he chooses the difficult Geng Metal Art 100.
Yu Jing is already Four Peaks’ Chief Disciple by the time Li Chuan enters the Upper Courtyard. She oversees assessments, issues core-disciple privileges, distributes competition rewards, and represents Four Peaks in dealings with sect elders and other chief disciples 127 141 157.
She initially regards Transforming Force disciples as beneath the true threshold of martial arts. After Li Chuan reaches Core Formation, she treats him as a peer—but grants genuine recognition only to those stronger than herself 127.
Her confidence in retaining the Chief Disciple position rests on her nine Main Meridians, formidable body-tempering art, and superior cultivation resources. At the succession assessment, she easily defeats Xu Kezhou in three moves without drawing her saber. Li Chuan then challenges her and defeats her with a single slash empowered by the ultimate realm of the Heavenly River Blade Technique, ending her tenure as Chief Disciple 184 186 188.
Appearance
Yu Jing is an exceptionally tall, broad, and muscular woman whose hard-body cultivation has made her appearance increasingly masculine. Her physique and visible musculature are striking even among martial artists 100 110.
- Highly developed masseter muscles and a rugged face 100
- Blue veins visibly bulge across her heavily trained muscles 110
- Nearly two meters tall, with a sturdy, burly build 141 183
- Commonly carries a broad-backed saber 188
- Wears black-and-gold Chief Disciple robes while holding the position 155
Personality
Yu Jing is proud, blunt, and intensely strength-oriented. She does not cultivate social niceties with weaker peers, ignores attempts to curry favor, and openly believes that only those stronger than her can earn her recognition 127 131 141.
Despite this arrogance, she is disciplined and dutiful in sect affairs. She personally teaches techniques when required, gives cultivation advice, conducts assessments efficiently, and pays attention to Li Chuan’s abnormal rate of progress despite his Third Grade Root 100 110 141.
She respects courage and martial resolve. Before fighting Li Chuan, she praises his willingness to challenge a seemingly unbridgeable gap in strength and chooses to draw her saber as a sign of respect 188.
