A led Kumogakure during its conflict with Iwagakure in the Land of Earth. Facing Iwagakure's encirclement, he ordered his troops to concentrate their strength and force a breakthrough, showing no fear of the enemy force. Uchiha Jun observed the battle from hiding and deliberately waited for Iwagakure's human-wave strategy to exhaust the Raikage's stamina and chakra. 40 43

After A was defeated and killed, Uchiha Jun claimed the kill despite only one-percent combat participation, receiving rewards for eliminating a reigning Five Kage. Jun preserved A's body and gave his heart to Kakuzu, who implanted it to greatly enhance his own power. 47
