The greatest difference between the outer regions and the Royal City region was their desolation.

They were exceptionally desolate, and many places were perilous forbidden grounds, utterly unsuitable for most creatures to inhabit. Swamps fraught with hidden dangers, ravines permeated by poisonous gas, ten-thousand-year snow mountains frozen all year round... all were uninhabited lands.
