Background / History

The Heavenly Realm is the higher plane sought by cultivators of the Lesser Immortal Realm. Records describe a gulf between the two worlds: Heavenly Realm lifeforms are said to reach the Transcend Mortality realm upon adulthood, while even its smallest share of resources is portrayed as immensely valuable to lower-realm cultivators 346.

It was once a renowned and powerful Great Thousand World, even beyond its own boundaries. By the era of the Lord of Creation’s arrival, numerous major powers already existed there; however, the realm later entered decline. One account states that it will eventually destroy itself and, after an immense interval, give rise to new life again 724.

Lin Cheng ascended toward the Heavenly Realm after the war between Chaos World and the Lesser Immortal Realm ended. His journey was immediately met by a terrifying will, an unmovable corpse bearing the warning “Do not ascend,” and the dangers of the unknown higher plane 346 349.

A realm-wide time-and-space reversal later drew the attention of peak demigods, quasi-gods, and an awakened god, exposing how many hidden powers remained within the Heavenly Realm 740. Soon afterward, an ancient palace manifested above the entire world, releasing vast quantities of purified immortal spiritual power and restoring the realm’s connection to the outside world 757.

Nature and Environment

The Heavenly Realm is vast enough to contain supercontinents, numerous major races, secret realms, Heavenly Realm Cities, and separate spaces created through Authority. Its spiritual environment is far beyond that of lower worlds, though its potential is described as nearly exhausted after producing generations of powerful beings 449 720.

• Its peak races, including the Angel Clan, are said to occupy several supercontinents as their foundations 449.
• The realm contains abundant immortal spiritual power, but newly born Great Thousand Worlds can possess spiritual energy and origin aura more than a hundred times denser 722.
• Vast Azure Continent is one of its major continents and contains settlements such as Seal Gate City, Crouching Dragon Mountain, and Heavenly River City 434 651 691.
• Crouching Dragon Mountain became a human sacred ground surrounded by nine giant cities and populated by large numbers of Heavenly Rank beings 691.
• The Heavenly Realm’s world barrier was once sealed; following the Divine Tower seal’s collapse, its past and present began to merge and its external connection was restored 757.

Inhabitants and Factions

The Heavenly Realm is populated by humans and many non-human races. Its political landscape is shaped by powerful clans, territorial rulers, and ancient experts competing for resources, Authority, and survival.

• Human race — Although widely targeted and denounced by many factions, humans retain major hidden foundations, including the Demon Extermination Association and the Thunder Realm of the Thunder Dao Ancestor 470 736 737.
• Angel Clan — One of the realm’s peak overlord races; it possesses the Sacred Domain, described as the Heavenly Realm’s remaining innate supreme treasure 449 721.
• Immortal Clan, Buddhist Clan, Hell Clan, and other great clans — Major powers whose Dao Ancestors prepared to contest control of the Heavenly Realm after the Heavenly Lord Palace appeared 740 759.
• Demon Berserk Ape Clan — Rulers of Seal Gate City during Lin Cheng’s time on Vast Azure Continent 434.
• Human Alliance — An organization coordinating human resistance and reacting to the emergence of new Heavenly Rank experts on Vast Azure Continent 517 559.

Power Structure

Heavenly Lord Palace

The Heavenly Lord Palace was an ancient palace vast enough to blanket the entire Heavenly Realm. Its appearance caused immortal spiritual power to condense into dragon-like forms with abundant life force, allowing injured experts across the realm to recover 757 758.

The palace is tied to the origin of Dao Ancestor Authority. Races possessing Dao Ancestors understood that the Authorities they wielded had been obtained from the Heavenly Lord Palace, prompting every major faction to suspend open conflict and wait for its opening 760.

Inside, the palace contained a complete but desolate world connecting the Heavenly Realm and the primordial universe. Its gray plains, blood-stained stones, and absence of life suggested that the beings once sheltered by the Heavenly Lord had been slaughtered during a catastrophic upheaval 763.

• Authority beads — Earth and Water Authority beads appeared within the palace, triggering battles among Dao Ancestors, demigods, and Immortal Emperors 764.
• Heavenly Lord Authority — Lin Cheng found a single pearl identified as the Heavenly Lord Authority in a secluded palace chamber 782.
• Collapse — The palace eventually collapsed after its treasures and resources were largely exhausted. Nearly half of the Dao Ancestor-level experts involved were killed, while many survivors were severely injured 784.

Mysteries

• The Divine Tower and the Heavenly Realm may not exist in the same spacetime. Lin Cheng speculated that the Heavenly Realm represents the present while the world within the Divine Tower could represent the past, but he had no confirmation 686 688.
• The Lord of Creation watched over the Heavenly Realm for a long time, while other hidden entities also acted within it; the full nature of these connections remains unclear 689.
• Authority is an exceptionally scarce power that can only diminish, never increase. Its holders can wield terrifying power within a Great Thousand World’s sphere of influence 721.
• The Heavenly Realm was considered a desirable target by outside forces and unknown existences, particularly after its former protectors disappeared and unusual disturbances began multiplying 513.
