Shen Le shuddered. Last time, in Mountain Lord's territory, when Old You had called for help, he had begged Shen Le to come over.
So what exactly had happened? What kind of enemy was Old You facing that made him shout, "Don't come"?
If you told me to come, I might still think it over and assess the risk. But you told me not to come?
I'm definitely going to this place, and I'm definitely saving this person!
His cheeks tightened as he leaned slightly closer to the screen, almost wishing he could force his spiritual power into it—then follow the network connection straight to the other side.
But he couldn't. All he could do was watch helplessly as Old You shouted that line, only for a fist the size of a bowl to fly in from the side and smash into his face.
Old You screamed miserably and flew out of frame, landing who knew where.
Shen Le's breathing caught. He strained his ears but didn't hear any violent crash, so Old You probably hadn't been embedded in a wall. Still, that punch had definitely been heavy.
"What do you need? Just say what you want—don't hit my man!" His face darkened as he shouted at the people on the other side.
The fierce-looking man glared viciously at him, cursed a couple of times, then turned and shouted something. Soon, a skinny fellow who looked like a bamboo cane come to life appeared on screen.
"You're that guy's boss? He snuck into our territory and chopped down our sacred tree. What do you have to say for yourself?"
"Treat his injuries first." Shen Le's expression turned grave. Staring at the screen, he secretly made a gesture. Beside him, a ball of silver light
