Background

Yu Xiaogang presented himself at Nuoding Academy as the foremost authority on martial-soul theory. He claimed that Tang San’s innate full Soul Power proved the existence of a second, powerful martial soul, dismissing Blue Silver Grass as inherently weak. Yin Chuan refuted his reasoning and struck him after he insulted Tang San’s martial soul. 8 9

He repeatedly sought to take Tang San—and later Yin Chuan—as disciples. His interest was driven by their exceptional talent and the prestige he believed their achievements could bring him. After learning that Yin Chuan was a twelve-year-old Spirit Ancestor, Yu Xiaogang considered taking both uncle and nephew as disciples a path to recognition. 11 12

When Yin Chuan left Nuoding Academy, Yu Xiaogang became Tang San’s homeroom teacher. He attempted to establish authority over Tang San, but their hostility escalated when Tang San sent him into a wall with Overlord Disarming Armor. 16 17

After locating Yin Chuan and Tang San at Shrek Academy, Yu Xiaogang falsely implied that Tang San’s rapid growth was the result of his own instruction.
