Background / History

Xiao Xiao first appears as a student seated behind Lin Ye and Wang Dong'er. Drawn to both of their appearances and their closeness, she watches them with the instincts of an enthusiastic shipper. Lin Ye binds her to the Shipper System, which identifies him as her “fated one” and requires her to conceal the system from others. 14

The system prompts Xiao Xiao to pass a note to a boy she likes. Although Wang Dong'er intercepts the note, Xiao Xiao still receives the task reward. After class, she nervously introduces herself to Lin Ye and completes another task by shaking his hand, immediately gaining a level of Soul Power. 15

Worried that she will fail the Freshman Assessment, Xiao Xiao considers attaching a soul ring to her second martial soul early. She reveals that she possesses twin martial souls, but Lin Ye advises her not to waste its potential on a low-age ring. He later gives her a Mystic Water Pill to support her cultivation. 31 34
